Well I always sigh with relief when something is shot on real film and scanned/graded this perfectly. The Vision 3 50D is unbelievably beautiful on any film format! I really look forward to shooting with this awesome film stock in Super 16mm!!

I'm guessing this is how this looks on 35mm? I would love to see an example of this stock with 16mm footage.

I've heard this film makes great still photos, too.

The images look amazing, but I have to say that the transitions really kill all the magic (IMO). Those fades and dissolves look really digital, eclipsing the subtle qualities of the film. I love watching an old movie which makes the analogue optical printing process really obvious. I reckon you shoot film either to show off the medium in its full glory, or to hide the presence of any medium in the pursuit of some kind of transparent story telling form.

This is great Kodak, but we need to have more access too and knowledge of Super 16 if we're going to really buy film for low budget features.

He's talking about the film stock. They make 5203 in 35mm and 16mm (its called 7203 for 16, but its the same stock).

Can you tell me how it is different from the older version (7201)? Thanks

This scan looks very soft. Maybe time for a rescan? This is linking directly from the Kodak main page, so you're not really selling the product.

is this 16mm or 35mm?

is this processed as other movie films with rem jet backings?

It must be a perfect slow film for well lit internal or natural light external super 8 projects.

Has this been edited? I see no scratches at all or any little specs.
@alchemistalchemist60515 жыл бұрын
There is no reason to have those is the film was developped and cleaned properly before scanning
