KOF XV OR Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves? - Which Game Is Getting A Capcom Character?

I can see both KOF 15 and Fatal Fury: COTW having Street Fighter guest characters. For KOF 15, I predict we'll have a SF Team, and the choices would be the obvious: Ryu, Chun Li, and Luke. If we get a SF character single entry, it'll be Akuma as a boss character. COTW is where the choices could have variety. Hear me out: what if COTW was given the KOF: All Stars treatment and have multiple collaborations? If this happens, we'll get more SF characters. My first wave prediction is this: Ryu, Chun Li, Makoto, and Sean.

It would be cool to see collaborations in both games, but personally I wouldn't like to see any of the "new" characters from SFIII, V and VI in COTW or KOFXV, it wouldn't be a fair exchange since Capcom was given Terry and Mai which are legendary level characters. And if SNK wants to continue supporting KOFXV at a competitive level, (who knows for how long) because they have also said that, then they have to make one last effort to give more content to the game.

I would have a Double Dragon team in KOF15 because SNK did a DD game before and the Double Dragon franchise is still having new games. Save Ryu and Chun Li for City of Wolves (I would pick Sakura, but she is unlikely).

Wait, which Double Dragon game you thinking of? The one made by the same team that beat the SNK guys to get Angel into KoF? The same guys who got shafted when the license ran out while they were making the game, forcing them to shelve it and slyly release it as an unfinished game in LatAm? Or you talkin' about the old old OLD DD game made in the 90s when the license holder was a laundry shop in Germany? Cuz right now, the last known rights holder is ArcSys. So putting Billy and Jimmy Lee in an SNK game might take a while and lots of bar meetings. No seriously, Japanese business is done over dinner or at bars. Just ask Sakurai and Harada's Bar.

We have already seen collaborations happening on the mobile games, so I think we are close to having a collab on the main franchise! By the way autumn 2024 and especially winter 2025 are much further away for Terry and Mai to appear on SF so I'm wondering if the guest character will appear that much later too...

i would like to see sakura in kofxv as well, she could have a lot of great interactions with characters like yuri (like in cvs), shingo (ryu fangirl vs kyo fanboy), and other goofy personalities in kofxv. however, my prediction for kof xv is ryu, luke, and chun li (based on the leaks), and ken and cammy for ff:cotw (just a guess)

If Team Street Fighter will be in KOF15, It’s probably going to be; Ryu - The Legend of Street Fighter; His Rival will be Kyo and Ryo. Chun Li- First woman of Fighting Games. Her rival is Mai and probably Vanessa or King. Luke - This generations poster boy of Street Fighter 6. Plus, Having him in the team is an advertisement for the game. His rival will be Shun’ei and maybe Terry or Rock.

I don't think a Guilty Gear character like Sol would be a good fit for City of the Wolves, GG's cast is much more fantastical, they would be a better fit for, I don't know, a Darkstalkers revival. Baiken did got included as a DLC character in SNK's Samurai Shodown 2019

@@GoTenDu maybe, but I think Hokutomaru has been already confirmed by some audio clips in CotW's initial tailer, Andy appeared in CotW poster drawn by Tonko alongside Terry and Joe. And I'm certain Mai will appear in CotW as well considering her popularity, and perhaps SNK will finally gave her a new canon appearence, since she has always had the same look since Fatal Fury 2, save for her alternate costume in FF3 and Real Bout

Lol the whole point of the KoF series is a team of characters. So naturally a Team of Street Fighter characters is most likely. Ryu, Ken, Sakura Or Ryu, Chun-Li, Zangief Or Luke, Jamie, Kimberly (if they're going the SF6 route.)

No, shotos for me. I just not a fan of Ryu or Akuma. One thing I like about SNK when picking guest characters is they don't pick the obvious. SVC:Chaos has a better roster than CVS2. KOFXV: Ibuki, C.Viper or Juri Both Ibuki and C. Viper are pretty much SNK characters. Juri is very popular. COTW: Makoto, Marisa or Sean. All three's fighting styles fit COTW's aesthetic. Sean I don't consider a shoto, because he don't play like one outside the uppercut.

Personally Street Fighter character makes more sense in KOF 15, simple because KOF is by all means a crossover game already so it would feel more appropriate. And it's a game that was also created by the same guy who did OG Street Fighter and Fatal Fury. But as for who I would choose, I might as well go with either Chun-Li or Luke cause they seem to be the most likely choices. And yeah, there's obviously Ryu, but he would just feel like such a safe and vanilla choice, especially since KOF already has "we got Ryu at home" with Ryo, so I don't think he would stand out playstyle wise.

@@YeldellGW Street Fighter and Fatal Fury were both created by the same person, which is why fans believe they deserve a crossover. Terry and Mai from Fatal Fury are already in Street Fighter, so it's only fair for a Street Fighter character to appear in Fatal Fury or King of Fighters.
