Crazy how strict the timing is, if you do half circle back forward punch, you have to input qcf hk BEFORE the punch connects to get the super I think. Was stuck on this, even this trick takes practice! Also, crazy that you showed the exact trial that made me pull this video up

I will be working on another video for you guys soon! What do you guys want to see? A commonly asked question is about other types of "shortcuts" Here is a written example of another one for you while I work on what my next video will be. In the mean time, I can say that a lot of the time you can use the input "motion" of the prior specials with the remaining one of the "super" input. It is called input buffering. So for example, if a special requires a half circle back input, and the super you want to cancel into requires 2 quarter circle backs. You could simply do, half circle back, then immediately do one more quarter circle back to cancel into the super. The reason this works is because the first special, "the half circle back" also includes the quarter circle back input so if you execute the next quarter circle back it will cancel as if you you have already done both. (essentially you have.)

Wow, I never would have found this on my own. Are there any shortcuts for double half-circle supers/motions, say like Shermie's supers?

For shermie if you do her suplex first that’ll count as the start of the half circle forward then you can just roll fireball forward twice and that should work.just make sure you aren’t releasing the stick after the suplex go straight from fireball back to forward twice

@PalisadeGaming2 жыл бұрын
@@jesustepes No problem brother, your english is great! So for simpler confirms like this, you must keep in mind that "Far Normals" often do not cancel into specials, Only "close normals". The concept is called proximity normals. Start inputting the motion to the special earlier and then hold the button, as it will repeat the input for a few frames. Be sure to turn on the key data while in training mode so when you make mistakes, you can pause the game and then look at your key data and see what went wrong.
@ACSMEX2 жыл бұрын
Don't give up man, this game simplified a lot of stuff so if you get the hang of it you can consider it your entrance to a lot of classical fighting games. KOF 2002 UM (Unlimited match) and KOF 98 UMFE (Unlimited match Final Edition) also got rollback last year. They are pretty cheap on sale on Steam and are very fun too, but the mechanics and inputs make them a bit hard for new people to get into them. They have real pretzel motions (which KOF XV does NOT has).

I would do the super in training with the attack data turned off so you have a longer key data string. Then do it over and over again on both sides and closely pay attention and see if you have any weird input tendencies that might be causing the issue. If you’re having a hard time with the basic shoryuken input. Think of it like this: Tap forward before doing a shoryuken motion (quarter circle forward). Except you don’t have to roll all the way to forward. If your having a hard time cancelling the motion into a super (typically a quarter circle back -> half circle forward) then you would want to use the alternative input that this video describes.

@PalisadeGaming2 жыл бұрын
Just went into practice with this for you, you have a bit more time to cancel than you would think. Start by adding a forward motion to your DP like this: →↓↘→+LP. That way your already starting the beginning of the first half circle motion. The full execution of your stick should look like this without returning to neutral: →↓↘→↘↓↙←→↘↓↙←. Do it briskly, but dont rush, sometimes I like to close my eyes and feel the motion in my hands and imagine what my hands will be doing when Im having a hard time. Be relaxed, brisk, and crispy. Btw you can also cancel this move with her QCB+P move by converting it into a HCB+P, then you would just have to add one more HCB+P for the super cancel

Wrong take. They made it accesible for begginers so they can play too without having to spend hours upon hours in the training room. Having a low floor allows for more people to get into fighting games which is good since that means more content for the FGC. For us that like a high ceiling the game has it too. They are taking away nothing from you, and they are giving stuff to newcomers, so they did the right thing.

(Not speaking to anyone in specific, just my take) The auto combos in this are actually great for teaching new players how to punish, and the general flow of the game, if you cant beat an auto combo user, then you need to get better, I think the way they are implemented in this game is pretty decent because it stops "good" players from mashing jab because once the auto combo starts, you can not stop it with any other button.
