First I saw this Bug was after playing Kog after a hiatus of Botlane, I think it was right before the mythic updates. I specifically remember it because it got me a double kill with runaans in an urf match and I just thought it was a bug due to something with the attack speed cap in that mode. Nowadays, I've put all my faith an believe into the chamber of acid praying whenever I play Kog'Maw to be granted the highest honour of spreading dissolvant just one last time past my passing.

It’s not even a bug, it’s a feature. Kog gets one mele AA, originally it was a bug but riot choses not to remove it.

this is actually very easy to reproduce. if you know how to, you can get it every single time given the right circumstances. I tried in practice tool and from what I can tell, you need to right click or attack move a target, very shortly after you die, and you get one more auto in melee range. you would need to be very close to the the target you want to auto because even waiting for longer than ~half a second seemed to not work in my testing. when I died close enough to the dummy, I was able to get the auto off without fail this way. it's honestly closer to a mechanic that you can abuse rather than a random bug. it may sound somewhat niche, but I think you can use this frequently if you play the champ a lot. especially early on, if you know you can trade a kill in lane with the extra auto, you can die in melee range intentionally and you'll get it every time.

Probably yes, because it is a well known bug and it is probably on the list of bugs that dont result i a chronobreak

Good question. From my knowledge of current buglist in pro play - this bug IS NOT THERE. If it's not there, then if it happens to you, you can pause the game/get a chronobreak. Issue is, this is game-ending. Maybe a complete rerun of the game then? Or nothing.

I love how all ppl are saying this passive is bad and anti synergistic because you have to die to me it isnt because 90% if the time kog maw is the one to die first on your team everyone targets kog maw because he is the biggest dps and has no mobility if you dont die you win and if you die you still do 400 or more aoe true damage.

I mean, that's the idea? It's not that you're not supposed to be dying, it's that it's very easy to die since you are so immobile, and the best way to give some power back without making him busted is giving him a way to cs/finish off targets after death. I would argue it does fit the champ design. It actually does a lot of damage early game, which is the only point it has any relevancy.

Kog'Maw's passive with the collector is a sure fire way to make sure you can get a kill even if you die in the process.

Honestly, letting Kog auto 2-3 times wouldnt be a bad upgrade to the passive. Helps Kog still be a threat when his weakness of getting dived gets exploited.

His passive already makes you need to be in melee range so whats the prob with 0 range autos? If his autos had range when in his passive that would completely mess up his explosion dmg from his passive cause you wouldnt be trying to get on top on them then lol. Giving him 2-3 autos in his passive would be perfect

wanna know a couple of other funny bugs in the game currently? shaco w procs malignance.... yeah that just happens, not even ult boxes only, regular boxes (if you wanna recreate it just go comet, manaflow, trans, scorch, into sudden impact, ultimate hunter, with AS, Adaptive force and scaling health, then first item build a malignance) if you use aurelions q while using his w, it can lock your mouse movement so you have to let go of q to then regain control of your own mouse, and it happens so frequently you see it more than once a game if ur really unlucky on gp, your barrels can just decide to not chain even if they are essentially on top of each other

This bug comes from the way they decided to make undead passives and the fact that it treats you as sion but also after the fact it locks your AA. this locking is not done in sync but as a separate event that takes time and also depends on the server queue. If you manage to have an AA still goin on and die that the right moment the action of locking the AA is delayed by another server tick or even few thats why he could still throw out an AA or two after he's state was changed to undead.

As a Kog main, I can confirm this bug has been in the game for YEARS, and I've never really understood what caused it, normally I'd spam attack move and have high attackspeed and it'd just auto.

I've seen RiotAugust talk about Kog Maw passive and he had the same opinion, that it doesn't fit in the game anymore. But it would probably only be reworked when his whole kit gets a rework or rebalance.

I see it as a budget sion passive. It's a tool for shoving the wave after you die, assuming you've done some damage to the wave already. Honestly if it one-shot minions I'd actually think it'd be overpowered. It kinda works for kog, too, if you assume that you're going to get dove and killed because you're kog maw, at least you can deny the enemy tempo when you go down.

Kog passive is weird, but it doesn't deal an insignificant amount of damage, especially on an AP build using shadow flame, it just doesn't fit his kit really in any way other than killing an assassin who jumps on you in the rare chance they're already low up and can't get away.

Shyvanna passive takes the cake for me as the worst in the game. If your team is behind and you can’t get any drags, you literally don’t have a passive. To compare to other similar abilities, the passive of Garen’s W gives more total resistances, those resistances are easier to get (farm cs instead of drags), AND Garen W also has an active

I have been grinding KOG games a lot lately and if I spam attack move which is bound to my "a" key, then there is like a 40% chance I get a phantom auto. It has gottenne me at least 4 or 5 kills in the 30 or so games I have on him so far.

on a side note.. did you know that blitz r passive applies malignance and also works with guinsoo's rageblade.. its a complete meme build but you can go mana, ap and atk spd press w and auto someone a bunch, leave and still have your r passive proc like 10 times on the enemy its the funniest thing ever. it would probably be op if they improved the scaling.

I say that kog's passive isn't bad, but it's outdated. I think they should give him the same treatment that Sion's passive, and give him a new skill in the 4 slots that allows you to do a little dash (or jump) and explode early. Everyone knows when the passive is about to end, so they all dash away there. Making a dash that gets through walls would make it up for the fact that you died...
