Sounds really clean and natural. Post-processing is expected to get a proper freq. + phase balance from all those mics. We all know that if the drums sounds great, the whole song\album sounds great (and vice versa)! Really hard work, Kohle! Always a pleasure to watch you record\mix, though just as a video presentation.

So minimalistic, yet such huge sound! I completely understand capturing the right sound coming into the mics first. Makes so much sense. I'm just getting into this, but so far Ken really stands out to me. I hear some depth in his playing (Groove) that I usually don't hear often in this genre. The sound of his kit is indeed excellent. He cares a lot and it pays of. (And great job by Kristian!) I prefer those things any given day over someone who can play even a little faster and even a little more precise than Ken.

Thanks, Kohle. This couldn't be more timely. I have a drum tracking session tomorrow starting in the a.m. for a band of some prominence and this has helped me get back in the mind space. I'll be working with a kit a slight bit larger than Ken's and it's cool to see what you guys accomplished without all the triggering stuff. I prefer mics as opposed to triggers, so this sharpens up my playbook. Cheers! \m/(>
