Marine engineers should be required to be service technicians for three years prior to designing boats. That way we wouldn’t have to work around these ridiculous obstacles when performing general maintenance. No wonder it costs a fortune to maintain a boat. Thankfully we have Justin.

Hey Justin, In my particular case I have the exact boat down in Miami, and for the last two maintenance I couldn’t change that back spark plug, just because I didn’t know how to, like someone mention in one of the comments, thank goodness we have you, Thanks JUSTIN

A oil vacuum pump would great to drain the oil in that situation

Hey Justin, I’m buying a new boat from your former place, will be here in November. Any advice on prevention? I’m thinking of putting dielectric grease on all the electrical connections, spraying the Yamalube on the engine and silicon on the non metal engine parts. It’s my first non-used boat. Most boats I’ve bought already have some corrosion.

Thanks for another great video. Question for you, when you’re draining the oil. Just to the port, next to cup you’re using is a pump that has a no step sticker on it. What brand is it and what does it do?

Thank you and that is the bait well pump. I compare it in episode 159. It's a sentry brand pump but personally I would use the Rule brand pump.

I think Marine engineers hate all service technicians and engineer madness into a simple spark plug change just to screw with the tech’s. Half day to service a simple generator, crazy.

Wow that's a bad design for sure - you would think they would have the rar seat flip up like on Robalo's and or move the genset forward and battery's aft with acess hatches for service

Boston whaler is one of the most miserable to do anything back in that hole and that bench is heavy!
