I am an adult and I still enjoyed it , in fact I understood better how selfless Rohit & his friends were when it came to keep safe an alien by risking their own lives . And realised it is so important to have a supportive partner/friend/ just like Nisha . As a kid obviously you don't realise these things we loved the song , dance , action scenes but this movie perfectly showcased friendship , with or without power Rohit's friends were there with him till the end

My theory on this is that rohit lost his power just to be saved from getting arrested. Because he went back mentally as a child. And no one could put him in jail because of that. Hey Andrew just wanted to say that this was possibly the nascent years where massive business conglomerates got into the movie business. Before the corporate entered the business, usually producers,who were also directors and writers in most cases; used to put their own assets on the line to produce the films. So when corporates and brands came in so did the monetary resources, hence such in the face advertisements. This was pretty new for Indian cinema in those days. This went on till late 2000s but now its relatively subliminal.

Omg me too. Even when I was back home i started spending so much time on the roof. Even though I was a die hard romantic and most of my friends thought I would be more crazy about main Prem ki diwani hoon as it came out around that time and I was more into the pairing of Hrithik kareena (I still regret not seeing them together more) but I became so emotionally invested in Jadoo and kept expecting aliens to land on my rooftop somehow and help me in my stuff. I can't believe how naive I was but probably thats why this comparatively simpler film is still so special to me. ❤

I love the space ship effects, in my opinion they would look much better if done with modern tech but even back then, it felt real, like a real , giant hovering craft in the sky. The burner effects were amazing as well, the fact that they put great details into the burner direction control mechanics was amazing, it even had two large boosters at the end as well, and m sure the burners were used just for hovering purpose and the boosters for throwing it out of a planet's gravity. And it didn't achieve light speed until it exited the atmosphere that part was pretty cool too. Also all the electronic malfunction effect they put in was also amazing so that no one could any harm ful technology against their craft or take any pictures even. Even the satellites couldn't detect them in the film. Jadoo had a yellow suit which was genius cuz yellow colour is visible from a far, perfect to wear during random planet exploration to prevent getting lost (no irony intended). And the fact that jadoo used sunlight for energy so there was no question of his food, they can go anywhere in the universe because suns are found everywhere, they don't have any food or even oxygen constraints unlike humans, since jadoo had no nostrils meaning he didn't need to breath either. He did use air for voice tho. And jadoo was an animatronics , the fact that they managed to express so many expression of fear, surprise, grief, sadness etc from a literal animatronics was amazing. Jadoo's skin colour was also pretty realistic his entire body was so convincing and real that's y i can say the effects hold up even today. They actually put a lot of effort into it. U need to remember the huge budget constraints of Bollywood movies specially in that era. And they managed to pull something off like this one, is so amazing, it shows their passion for this project/movie. U can dump millions of dollars into anything but if u don't have a burning desire to make it and passion to execute it, it will never work

Fun Fact for Steph (and of course a little memory refresher for Andrew): Both Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta have previously been paired in other movies before such as Mission Kashmir and of course Lakshya 2004 movie which came out after KMG. Also Andrew you remember Hrithik. You and Syntell previously did a movie reaction to Lakshya 2004 movie where Hrithik played a lazy rich protagonist named Karan Shergill, who joins the Indian Army (but he backs out due to cowardice, but after hearing his Dad’s criticism, he joins back in) and trained hard to become the best Indian soldier, just to make his Dad and girlfriend Romi (played by Zinta) proud. You also remembered Preity Zinta, she played the girlfriend, Romila “Romi” Dutta , who broke off with her boyfriend and was engaged. But since her fiancé turned out to be a jerk, she broke off the engagement with him, and by the end of the movie, both Karan and Romi get back together after Karan’s victory war. Also Steph and Andrew you guys should watch Krrish, and Krrish 3 next since they are both sequels to KMG movie. Also Steph, once you watch both movies, I promise you, you will be so swept away by Hrithik’s sexiness and handsome charm in both those movies 😍👌🏻💃🏻🤩❤️
