Okay, Kokia (who I adore), singing Simon's and Garfunkel's version of Scarborough Fair (totally unrelated song that I also adore) is a gem I didn't think I would find today. I love Kokia more and more with every song.
@jakekhuon73603 жыл бұрын
The song is somewhat related because it was included in an episode of the second season of Gunslinger Girl because it was a favourite song of one of the characters. Kokia's song, "Tatta Hitotsu no Omio" served as the season 2 opener.

Simon and Garfunkel were not the first to do this version of "Scarborough Fair" by a long, Long shot. However on the same albumn, "Musique a la Carte", she also covers Simon and Garfunkels "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" which is phenomonel. If you can find the CD, get it.

However, today was the first time I had ever heard Kokia. I listened to many of her songs ~ and then this one totally blew me away! Simon & Garfunkel should be so good! @@KaraSub2.0 if you've ever read anything from the aurthorian tales(king aurthor and the round table) they use a wierd version of english. they rearrange the order of words and the meaning of certain ones. so "from" can also be "to" making it, "remember me to one who lives there" and remember sort of means "cause someone to remember something" so it basically just means "remind the people back home about me"

Oh my.... I'm nearly melting. No wonder this is one of my most favoured songs of all times, such a touching timeless classic, rightfully much beloved all around the world, with so many really great versions around. Gotta admit though, this must surely be the most beautiful version I've ever heard of it yet - by SO far! Simply stunning, how dazzlingly perfect she sings it so fairy-like, to highlight that incredibly impressive elvish arrangement. She's gotta be a truely talented and awe inspiring artist, to maintain such an amazingly clear and bright timbre, in her shiver-inducing angelic voice. Wish the world had many more of such rare talents, that can make you at least feel like, even if only for those precious few moments, they could really make it a much better place. Thank you so much for this wonderful moment of peacefulk bliss, as fleeting as it may be...

Been a fan of Kokia for nearly a year now and, honestly, their musicality is so well expressed..You don't see this no more. Most of the bands of this genre would somehow get me bored, because they'd just stay inside a rare/exotic (you give it your name) scale and just hover there for 5 to 6 minutes and call them selves "traditional", "folk" ,"epic" and so on. ΚΟΚΙA goes far beyond that. Bottom live : LISTEN TO KOKIA
