Despite the Spotty mid-air wire work in some of the scenes, I do genuinely think this is a great trailer. Not perfect, but it’s a gods honest effort. No doubt that sanji is one of the mvps in this trailer. His Combat looks crispy and is mad cheeky. You can tell how much passion the team has for the series with all these Easter eggs. I actually really liked the look of the wired kick, it did it subtley enough, and it looks how those long ass air kicks in every manga and anime would look irl. Obviously it'll look unnatural to us, but there isn't a much better way to portray it.

I feel like Arlong is gonna be consistent throughout the season like a looming shadow boss cause I feel like because of the lightning and background clown of the sceen where he's looking over his shoulder he's in buggy's tent. So maybe he shows up after they beat Krege, establishing the threat and Nami's gonna roll out with them like a twist moment for people who don't know.

The flare is, I think, a reference to the barrel offerings that turned out to be a trap in the Thriller Bark arc. And as we can see, Oda and the live-action crew decided to compress Romance Dawn-Syrup Village-Orange Town-Baratie-Arlong Park since that's around 100 chapters in total and I don't mind as long as we have a cohesive storyline.

I could live with Don Krieg playing an overall smaller part, as long as we see the fleet be tormented by the sight of Mihawk approaching the Baratie. That in of itself is the greatest visual presentation of what to expect from the Grand Line. Just as expected, we need to see quite a bit of story crammed together. Where Baratie was allready an arc that had great characterization moments for both Sanji (let`s include Gin here) and Zorro, introduced one the most solid standards for strength to date (the pinnacle of swordsmanship) and had the standard showdown with the common douche, it now also includes Arlong?? They could actually manage to get everything in there with two, houre long episodes, but if they need to sacrifice anything, I honestly hope it`s Don Kriegs screen time.

If I had to guess, they might deal with Don Krieg and Nami sticks around instead of taking the Merry. Then Arlong shows up at the end and takes Nami away with the Merry instead. That way Yosaku doesn't just randomly show up at the Baratie after being eaten by a pan shark but still have a reason to go to Nami's Island!

This looks much better, definetly. Though from the trailer it does kinda seem like Krieg may not be a full villian. The fact that he doesn't appear in any of the trailers, that the fishmen appear since Baratie instead, and that he was the only villian we didn't see in the latest manga cover that showed the East Blue enemies.

In the teaser we see Luffy sinking in the sea and Sanji jumping in to rescue him... I would say this is the scene right after Arlong blasts him through the doors of the Baratie... since Mihawk is in this trailer, and he was chasing Don Krieg, I think there is going to be 3 showdowns at the Baratie. Zoro vs Mihawk then Luffy vs Krieg, then while they are recovering from those fights the Fishmen show up. Zoro is incapacitated then Luffy gets knocked into the sea, Sanji has to fight his way out of the Baratie to save Luffy. And while everyone is occupied, Nami and the Fishmen take off with the Merry

It's absolutely impossible to make a 100% faithfull real life action adaptation of One Piece. If they tried, they would end up with a 99% CGI movie and that's not what a life action is supposed to be. So this trailer is, imo, pretty good. There are some gripes (f.e.Arlong's face), but I think they're doing their best. Helps that the actors are actual fans and not just preteders. Also, doesn't Oda play consultant in some form? It seems some things have changed story and locationwise, but that's ok, as long as the overall message and spirit is there and seeing this trailer makes me actually hyped for this. In Germany they used the german voice actors as far as possible, which gives the whole thing that little extra that brings a huge grin to my face. So far: love the trailer. Could it have been better? Maybe, but this is not a 500 Million 2 hour movie. It's a whole tv-show and if it's evennhalf as good as I think it will be with this trailer, this might be huge. Definitely gonna watch. Will even resubscribe to Netflix for the duration.

I think Krieg's fight is gonna be short. So my guess is, Mihawk is gonna take care of Krieg himself and then fight Law then Arlong pulls up and kidnaps Nami. Due to Zorro being heavily injured by Mihawk, he couldn't do anything to help Luffy. Hence, Luffy looking like he got Molly whopped lol

I think Oda changed: No Yosaku or Johnny, there was no point where Zoro and Usopp leave with Yosaku and Johnny to catch Nami, there is no point where Yosaku comes back inside mouth of a whale-shar, so my guess is this: Arlong learns where Nami curently is or Nami sends him a message, they come to Baratie to grab Nami and treasures, kick the shit out of Luffy and Sanji, Usopp hides (as usual), Zoro is injured against Mihawk so he cannot fight at that point, Nami shows them the tattoo and leaves with Arlong, Kurobi and either Chu or our best boy Hachi (i think Chu, cause Hachi has to stay and feed Moomoo), then Luffy and the boys go to Nami island and Arlong Park and the rest is cannon. I wonder if 2 - 4 episodes will be with Don Krieg and Mihawk, we will need to wait and see. But as you said, Oda definitively changed and shortened episodes, which is ok. Now, how will he do it in season 2, we have to see. But it will be more difficult cause there are 3 arcs: Whisky Peak + Little Garden, Drum Kingdom, Arabasta. Maybe 2nd season is WP + LG, 3rd Drum Kingdom, 4th Arabasta. Cause we need Chopper story. It will be much more difficult, but WE BELIEVE IN OUR GOD AND SAVIOUR ODA SENSEI!
