He flat out lied and he knows he lied about detaining you. He also must know he did it on camera. How can people have any trust in the police if they lie so blatantly? Him also stating you must provide your name when you don't is also breaking their own code of conduct. You should print out the relevant pieces of section 43 and information regarding photography, highlight them and keep them in your pocket. That way if they search you and go through your pockets they will be forced to see the error of their ways.

He does not have the power to go through your phone, but you gave him permission to do so. Always, have a pin number to automatically blocking access, that will prevent them from searching through it! You do not have to give them the PIN! Search Warrant needed!

The term "the walk of shame" is often used when in reality, it isn't a walk of shame. On this occasion, the copper that went threw the phone looked embarrassed at the end, started creeping being all nicey nicey and then did a proper "Walk of Shame" as he had all his colleagues around him watching.
