@@2693742 no we do watch soccer... specially premier league, la liga...in india we have bigger fan base for major clubs like manu, chelsea, rm, Barcelona etc..my personal fav is chelsea... unfortunately our own football leagues and national team match coverage is not well managed due to wrong people in higher authorities..

You did your best, I love your channel, already subscribed to your channel a few months back. I loved how you highlighted the fact that Bengalis are almost exclusive in their love and passion for football, as Indians consider Cricket as their religion and Sachin Tendulkar as their God. But here in Bengal, you would find cricket and football both having their sets of supporters but football holds a much more important place in Bengalis' blood because of the historical lineage of great clubs and players and cuz it used to be the number 1 sport before 2000s, and probably still is here. If not for the huge commercialization of cricket I am sure more and more academies and parents would be willing to back football over cricket, but nonetheless this is one state where you will still find bare footed half naked lean kids enjoying football in the rain like no trouble no pain ever could touch them while they are on that field. That's the beauty of football and love how it creates bonds and friendships for years to last. I haven't found it anywhere else in India. A proud Bengali and fortunate enough to have been born here. My grandparents were Hindu Dhaka immigrants, so obviously you know who I support, my mom is ethnic Bengali, so you know who she supports. 🙂 The food, the sport, the warmth, the landscape, the heritage, Bengal is perhaps rightly a different entity in itself..we Bengalis are like Catalans, a different culture existing within a larger Country/Nation. Also - The 'BANGALS' or the East Bengal supporters prefer Hilsa Fish in their Meal whereas the 'GHOTIS' or the MB fans prefer Prawns in their meal...There are many cultural differences between us. And one more thing - Along with Bengal,Kerala,Goa the North East Region(comprises of 8 states) of India is also very passionate for football. Bengal has East Bengal & Mohun Bagan,Kerala is known for Kerala Blasters,Goa has been famous for clubs like Dempo,Salgaocar etc. and now FC Goa is the most supported club. In Northeast there are many great clubs - Aizawl FC(mizoram),Neroca(Manipur),Shillong lajong etc. who have large fan following. All these fours states(&regions) have one thing in Common - FOOTBALL (and fish also maybe)
