Most european countries have kept their heritage and yet they are far more developed than kolkata. Can any one imagine London without its iconic tram? Its just an excuses to remove heritage. Kolkata is not only kolkata for shoppingmalls. Its a failure of this government

भारतवर्ष में किसी भी राज्य या शहर में रोड़ ट्राम सेवा नही है सिर्फ कोलकाता में पिछले 150 सालों से चल रही है जो सुरक्षित और सस्ता परिवहन है ये कोलकाता का प्रतीक ,शान विरासत और देश का गौरव है। कोलकाता ट्राम बंद होने की कोई अधिकारिक जानकारी नही आई है ये सब नेताओं की योजना और शाजिश है। जनता अगर एकजुट होकर कुछ प्रयास करे तो ये विरासत बंद नही होगी । 🙏

All the blame for the problems caused by trams doesn’t go to the tramline but to the government, which didn’t even try to support and improve the service, even tho it’s one of the heritages of my home city Kolkata.

Tram service jo hai use aur kam karna amanwiye hoga. Tollyygunge to bally gunge, esplanade to gariaht, esplanade to shyam bazar chalane se kya apatti hai. Koi bibhag apne nithallepan ko chupane k liye tram ko jimmedar batakar route band karwana janheet k birudh hai.

Kolkata Road Occupied by Howkers and special Community people. Here in Kolkata Public walk through main road and Footpath captured by Hawkers. I guess Kolkata is now called a Kachra City instead of City of Joy. Lakhs and Crore or migrants are in Kolkata now 😢. World top 10 polluted city Kolkata, May be after Delhi / Karachi. Jai ho

Very few people ride on trams in weekdays. And it causes traffic congestion.

Modern trams running in their own dedicated lanes where cars aren't allowed will mean that the trams can provide better, faster, safer, and more frequent services, thus less people will drive cars and the people who still drive their cars won't be constantly stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. It's a win-win situation for everyone.
