Bibidi was already a fraud anyways. Toriyama had stated that Bibidi never created Buu. He stated Buu had always existed and all he ever did was learn how to wake him up. Daima now is just retconning that statement but still saying again that Bibidi still never made Buu and adding a bit more lore to the story involving the creation of Buu.

He was alive when these episodes were being made. This show was in production for years. He helped this show personally and actually changed a lot of what was previously planned for the show. My only question would be if the ending of Daima was his vision as well.
