@atpr3241 Oetsu has a cool design. Tosens, base, and even Hollow mask design is fire. Yoruichi never had a bad design. The thing is, Kubo is purposely using those designs on Tosen and Lille because they represent something. Szyaleporo has a trash Res, Aaonierro has a trash Res, and they both are white. There aren't just many black char and most of them are/became evil. It has nothing to do with their skin color.

I think in this case you literally can't die until the Bankai (The Play) is over: Like how Shinsui's Shikai forces you play children's games, his Bankai forces you to be a character in a play. Like Shinsui said, they can't die from any of wounds inflicted while his Bankai is active. This is because they are actors/characters that can't leave the "stage" until their performance is over.

It is never stated that they cannot die from their wounds until the Bankai is over. In fact that statement is contradictory due to the final act requiring death to happen to then be ‘over’. So to your point it would make sense that it would be impossible for Shunsui to kill someone in the first act. The wikis on the bankai all imply that the Bankai forces them to go through the play. But the manga text itself does not say that; nor does Kubo say that. So my question still is in wonder…

I don't know if you'll see this but in case you haven't read the manga, Shunsui's bankai is quite literally unstoppable. Lille Barro in Vollstandig is 100% INTANGIBLE like Obito from Naruto except it's just passive and upon entering Vollstandig he just becomes invulnerable passively, despite being LITERALLY INTANGIBLE he actually cannot do anything about Shunsui's bankai damaging him. Once you're caught in his bankai, you are 100% fucked and cannot escape. You have to go through all the "acts". The "incurable illness" is as it's name states, INCURABLE and makes you immediately start bleeding through your orrifaces, then you are drowned in water that is unescapable and are forced to endure being drowned until either your spirit energy or Shunsui's runs out and then Shunsui "wraps a wire/string around your neck" and beheads you and it's 100% undodgable to the point where literal intangibility granted to you by the son of the Soul King cannot help you against it. His bankai is basically an instant win unless you are somebody with even greater reality warping powers.
