People do this shit on spelltable all the time. I literally let somebody survive with my beamtown bullies in play making a deal not to kill his stuff if he leaves me alone for ONE TURN. He then tries to kill Beamtown with Leveler in the graveyard.... I'm like... OK bitch. You just lost the entire game for this and he got leveled.

What the heck was that? Cody makes a deal with Cameron, and then immediately breaks the deal after Cameron upheld his end of the bargain? And then shortly after uses his ressources to take him out of the game as a "spite play"? If anyone deservers the spite, it's Cody. If I was anywhere near that table, I'd never make a deal with that guy ever again.

yeah, the main rule in any game of commander is no matter how advantageous it may seem, if you make a deal with someone else, you keep that deal, because if you don't, the players won't forget it and will never trust you again. Hell, if I was in that playgroup and someone pulled that, even if I wasn't the target, I'd do everything I can to get rid of that player within that game and make sure they understand.

@@vengray8055 a little scummy? Deal breaking is the absolute no-go. I wouldn't play with that person anymore, or at least make sure he gets taken out first by everyone in the play group for the next couple of sessions, until he learned his lesson. Not sure if I'm reading this board state right, but could Ethan have "potentially" won on turn 11? My thought process: 1) cast flamekin 2) cast kobold - trigger get a +1/+1 counter on flamekin 3) attach skull clamp to kobold 4) repeat 1-3 allowing 3 times giving 3 +1/+1 counters to flamekin which can be used to generate 3 red mana - this process can be completed an infinite number of times at that point and allow card draw of the entire deck 5) play

So, um, quick question... knowing the board state was getting out of hand, why didn't Cody grab Whelming Wave earlier knowing that none of his opponents (more than likely) ran no wheels? I understand having a massive board state would give you a little more safety, but it's always smart to have a backup in the event that things go terribly wrong, like having someone casting a massive token generator right before their turn. As someone who plays Koma, I keep as much protection in my hand as possible and try to get to it as fast as possible because of how big of a lightning rod Koma is. Either way, there were some great plays all around, though, I now desperately need a Deepchannel Mentor.

Hey! I appreciate the constructive criticism and honesty in your observation. I would like to say that in cEDH it’s a test of skill from gameplay, deck building, sequencing and overall politics. Each of us sit down at that table to win, by whatever means necessary. Shortly after that deal I realized that Cameron could go pseudo-infinite and the board begged me to handle him/the problem. As for Sakashima, I felt that if I continued with playing Saka it wouldn’t have impacted the board nearly enough for the target I’d acquire in doing so. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps clear up some confusion!
