I think that much of the underlining reasons for the main issue of this video is to do with Theory of Mind, i.e., the ability to identify and conceptualize the thoughts, ideas and feelings of others and themselves. An individual with autism disability has Theory of Mind Deficit. Also he also has auditory and visual attention deficits. All of these affect the over all ability of the issues presented by this video. With Theory of Mind Deficit, it is impossible to organize thoughts, ideas, and feelings and eventually to articulate and verbalize them in the normal speed. Information process by Theory of Mind is intuitive and fast. On the other hand, an individual with autism has good ability to know fact (i.e., intellectual ability). Thus, his statement both verbal and written tends to be mere factual. Because of these reasons, under the law of the US, Americans with Disabilities Act recognizes autism as disability. To understand the issue presented by this video, all of these need to be taken into consideration. What is stated by this video seems to be correct but need to remember there is a great wide range of ability to achieve the kind of skills presented by this video. Thus, each individual needs to find his strength and weakness to improve his language skills, not merely to follow somebody's example.
