I don’t think so. First of all, why’d he fuck up his life by trash talking the agency? He’d only end up poor and ruining his and his family’s life. On the other hand I totally buy his statements - because no one in this business is going to play fair. Do I despise the CIA for murdering innocent people and plotting Coups all around the world? Hell yeah! But I have enough common sense to see that that’s the game all of the agencies are playing depending on their economic and military power to back up their Machiavellistic and dystopian agendas. Still I bet you at least 60-70% of the field agents are sacrificing themselves for the benefit of their home country. Reality is a little bit more complex than to be painted black or white.
@DimljenaRiba3 жыл бұрын
@jaleel appleseed I’m aware of some programs within the Israeli intelligence service (but I forgot the exact name- could quite be this talpiot thing you’re talking of). But to be honest, I’m smart enough to know where my nose not to stick into. When I was in my twenties I was so eager about finding every bit of “top secret” material. So the revelations of Snowden where more of a relief so I couldn’t be labeled as a conspiracy theorist. And the Chinese are doing every bit in their power to demonstrate how even freedom of thought is not desirable via their social security points system. But in the end we have to face things as they are and know our place! Some scattered individuals believing in some ideals such as freedom are nothing more than fools. The better we know our radius of what we are allowed to know and think, the better for us. If you compare it to a party of chess we aren’t even pawns. So, no matter how interesting it is to dig around some intelligence programs - you as an individual will never be able to do anything about it. The most you could achieve is to get yourself killed if you’d managed somehow to really get a grip on some top secret infos. Knowing this I’d rather enjoy myself watching some stupid stuff on Netflix while having some chocolate. :)

The guy says Snowden did the wrong thing and he should have gone up the chain. However, if you look at the security state SINCE he reported the illegal surveillance, they have not changed or stopped this surveillance. So clearly the 'chain' would not do anything about it and you could get yourself in trouble, or suppressed, which may very likely lead to you never being able to whistleblow later as they may stop your access to such data and check if you have it after you report up the chain. You have to wonder if this guy is still on the payroll of the CIA or at least blind loyalty. I also have to wonder if he was asked about the CIA supporting and promoting coups in the foreign nation which leads to the torture and execution of thousands, would he downplay this stuff or dismiss it. He should be challenged and asked this stuff.

Actually I respect this guy for his service and I think he is being truthful. But it’s about context. He’s a true believer. Just like people in the media and Hollywood and academia and these far left fanatics they are true believers. They really believe what they’re doing is to make America better. So when he says these agencies work for the betterment of America he’s being honest and I think he truly believes that. But the question is who gets to define what’s best for America? There are these things called false flag events. It’s where they actually do things so they can turn around and react. Here’s a perfect example of what I’m talking about. Right now we’re dealing with big tech and the government coming down on people for free speech and they’re saying that they’re stopping disinformation and false information. But who gets to decide what is and is not disinformation? That’s the problem there’s no consensus on what is and isn’t true. Like when people on the left talk about hate speech. Well the Supreme Court has already ruled numerous times that hate speech yes protected under the first amendment. But the real question is, who gets to decide what is hate speech? Right now people on the left think anything and everything a conservative or Republican says is racist and fascist and hate speech. We also know for a fact that the FBI lied and was part of a coup to overturn the 2016 election because they were trying to create a criminal conspiracy.To have Trump convicted and thrown out of office. That is a coup. That is anti-American. That is unconstitutional. That is treason. And it did in fact happen! China has never had a true democracy. They had imperialism which got replaced by communism. Half the country would not want Joe Biden if the media and the Democrats did not do everything they could to make Trump look bad and hide Biden!!! And time magazine and others have now come out and shown how they did it! They admit it openly. If we could have an election tomorrow Trump would win easily.

There is a saying that, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” and I don’t think it would be as widely quoted if people did not find some truth in those words. I think perhaps this saying can accurately be applied to the actions of the CIA/deep state, in some cases.

What makes you think that his job is lying. He does not disclose to his family what he and his wife do because that would not be safe for anyone but as a case officer or Operations Officer or Analyst( that are the backbone of the agency) The Case Officer finds and recruits foreign assets to spy for the agency then he manages those assets and must make sure they are protected and safe. He gets that info to an Operations Officer they are called that because they manage Operations. The Ops officer gets the info to analysts who will then advise decision makers. All of that requires an incredible ammount of integrity. If you are not honest with people they immediately don't want to work for you because your not trust worthy. A dishonest case officer would not get very far. For one the Agency as he said has all the jobs one might find in a city. They have cooks and janitors and every single one has a Top Secret Clearence. One very big part of getting that job reguardless of what job it is, is a full scope lifestyle polygraph. Thats not just any polygraph. You get a CI Poly in those jobs at least once every so many years. More often if you suspected of breaking rules. As a new hire you get the full scope lifestyle it's extensive invasive and extremely thorough and can take any where from 4hrs to as long as 8hrs. Honestly is one of the most essential qualities.

@@herpiegerbstick6808 Not sure what you mean? His entire family and probably a few of his friends knew he was a SEAL..While they kind of frown on Advertizing and flaunting being a SEAL is not a Secret. Writing a book is really not a big deal either. The founder of SEAL Team Six Comander Richard Marchinko wrote a similar book telling his own story just after retiring. Col Charlie Beckwith the founder of Delta Force did the same a few year earlier. Seal Medal of Honor Recipient Mike Thorton was maybe the first along with Royn More who wrote the Green Berets. There were probably no less than 100 such books that came out of the Vietnam Era the most famous of which was Col. John Palaster's SOG about a unit so secret it wasnt acknowleged for almost 30 years. So again what's your point? At least SEAL Team Six guys like Senior Chief Beck and Robert Oniel only wrote one or two books there are others on that list who have wrote dozens. While there is no problem with making money of your own story there is, as there always is quite a bit more to the story. As a guy that served with as an Airborne Infantry Long Range Surveillance Scout and Served 4 years with Army Special Forces including 3t tours in Afghanistan I have my own stories to tell and am also doing the outline for a book.and I have Green Beret brothers who have done the same. Its quite cathatic and theraputic just because previus generations and plenty today choose to bury that shit deep inside and self medicate with booze and dope doesnt make me or anyone else obligated to do the same and who the fuck are you to tell any of us different. I doubt you have ever come close to even walking in my shoes let alone a guy like Senior Chief Beck. A second thing you should understand is that the book Balckhawk Down came out in 1999 and the movie in 2001. The event depicted occurred in 1993. Thats six to 8 years in which declasification and vetting took place to maintain OPSEC. Thats about the average although some books and movies took much longer. The producers of 0 Dark 30 were brought to the Whitehouse and given an exclusive to the story and thats why that movie came out about a year after the event and Obama outed the team and violated OPSEC all over the place in front of the world so yeh guys like Senior Chief Beck and Robert Oniel figured( and they said exactly these words)" If someone is going to tell and make money off my story it mind as well be me, At least I tell it right". I could not agree more. He probabky didnt make that much of his book anyway both SEALs make most of their money providing Tactical Training and doing motivatiing speaking.

Its literally advice I give to younger people asking me how to break into my line of work.. some people wont go for a job because they feel under qualified or they don’t have the required experience or meet every single item posted in the job requirements… I tell them why you are sitting being down on yourself and stressing because you have 2 years experience and the posting says 5 years minimum some other guy is making some “creative adjustments” to his resume stretching the truth and believing in his ability to do the job even without having all the requirements and getting that job because a lot of us do it…. and before long we become someone who is actually experienced and valued at the company or in the industry and we can joke about how we bullshitted to get here because it doesn’t matter

considering the comments he made about ukraine in his other interview I doubt it. I'm sure that he was selective about what to talk about and certainly had to clip details for safety/privacy reasons but I think that these interviews were meant to give us a clearer picture of our own intelligence agency.

@Celticsaint777 the entire interview is actually pretty good... he does *kind of* address your doubts toward the end of the interview. I'm paraphrasing here, but... he says he doesn't dismiss conspiracy theories, ever. CIA is part of the executive branch, they do what they're ordered to do... they may run it by lawyers, or secret courts... but when they are given an order, they execute.

I wonder if he actually believes some of the things he says. Sadly, I think he does. His conception of good guys and bad guys is childish. Kindergarten level. His gullibility is astounding. And his calibration of what constitutes insanity - thinking that government would do anything against the interests of it's people - is mind boggling. And I'm only 6 minutes into the video. He doesn't seem to have the mental capacity to distinguish between people _saying_ they're doing something in your interests, and it's actually being in your interests. He characterizes MK Ultra as, 'maybe the CIA gave some people some uppers or some downers.'
