I guess that no lead acid battery is safe from your tester now he he :-D You are spot on with having really clean terminals and the crock clips. A handy tool :-D

With a volt meter it will tell you just that voltage, but it's not going to tell you the amperage that's in the battery. Enter the conductive battery analyzer.

The battery tester can tell the CCA of battery , The volts , State of charge , State of health and the internal resistance . If your volt meter will read the min max , then you can test voltage underload , like when starter is turning engine and get some what of an idea . But also a weak starter or bad connection can change the underload voltage so not nearly as accurate as the battery tester

Voltage is one thing that you need to know The other one is the Cold cranking amps they're important as well

I bought this tester & tested it today, brand new battery 230 CCA great results. As far as soc & soh both 100% volts 12.7volts but the internal resistance was 10.53 m0 extremely hi I think have u had this problem before?

It does seem high , Have you tested other batteries to see if it reads ok on those ,.

Is it possible to check it with a Volt meter 1st and then check the voltage with the battery analyzer and compare the difference to see if they're accurate.

You can measure sitting voltage with the tester or volt meter separate or at the same time

@@wtbm123 Yes, no I understand that, but what I would like to see is the comparison of the reading on the Volt meter and the reading on the battery analyzer to see if the numbers match up. 🙂
