If you would like to support Australian wildlife and the production of future videos you can buy me a $1 coffee here: www.buymeacoffee.com/bboa
50% of the funds will be donated to various wildlife charities and the other 50% will go towards production costs of future videos allowing me to create higher quality videos showcasing a wider range of Australian animals.
We've donated $200 to Wildlife Victoria, $200 to North Queensland Wildlife, $100 to A Better Life for Foster Kids, $400 to rare genetic diseases + $728 donated from our amazing fans.
Please check with your local wildlife experts before offering any food to the native wildlife in your area. What I offer these birds is an occasional treat and only a tiny portion of their overall diet.

You casually pick up Dwarfy and with slight annoyance he just accepts it. Complete trust right there.

I've unsubbed from a number of channels that stopped doing what they were doing when I found them. I'm very interested in cabin building and have done some of it in my lifetime. I read (and reread) the Foxfire books as a kid when they first came out and got hooked immediately. I was romanced by the log notching and have looked at doing that again. That said, I want to do splined round log construction. Not sure now what I want to use for my spline. I've always imagined using marine grade ply but do decorative chinking just the same. That's what I grew up seeing as a kid in a cabin of my godmothers so I'd like to see that again. Theirs was not decorative. That cabin was 1700-1800s. But I do like the saddle style you used because of the insulation advantage. I think you get better thermal dynamics increasing the thermal mass that way. I'd do a top saddle just for moisture precautions. i think in your area, it's essential. I'm in low altitude California so it's optional. If I was up in Lake Tahoe, I'd be doing saddle splined and not round to round splined.

Love how the chickens - supposedly "grown up" young adults - still try to return home, expect to be fed, and probably brought a week's worth of their dirty laundry with them, too!

I bet those chickens peck your ankles!!!LOL I couldnt afford an incubator. Prices have tripled on them so I spent 2 dollars on an incubator. I bought a black Sharpie magic marker and marked the eggs in the nests. Any eggs not marked we eat and leave the marked eggs in the nest. Any eggs over 25 days I bust them and feed them back to the birds. I finally got a guard dog for the birds its Husky and what ever LOL. At 8 weeks she doesnt guard much yet!LOL I help support 2 families with eggs for free.

Nice video discovered your channel as oddly enough a kookaburra was spotted by a couple running through woods near where I live in Burgess Hill, England. I guess likely an escapee from zoo unless there is some that like to travel the world as bird tourists. Lol. :)

We need a chookie footrace! From their pen and the house and back! Will it be chaotic? Yes! Will it most likely fail? Yes! Will the kookaburras somehow impose themselves on it? Yes But that's the point! A little fun and a whole lot of chaos!

Hark to that persistent not-so-passive aggressive grumbling of the chickens. Given their now acknowledged antecedents, do you reckon that that's what the T-Rexs and Co sounded like between spats over the latest carcass? 🤔

Dwarfy is so cute. I'd want to make up a small bed for him inside the house. What could possibly go wrong with that. Baby rooster? He looks huge for a baby. We had chickens when I was maybe 8-ish. We would scatter crushed oyster shell around the enclosure. I never really understood the purpose of that. Have you seen Mrs. Magpie lately?
