Kooky Catch Up - POSTCARD SAL & CATCH UP - scrap store goodies haul!

Hello my lovelies It’s the first of September and today’s the day for the next prompt for the Kooky Postcard Sew-a-long! This month’s prompt is AUTUMN HYGGE
The only rule for your postcard is that it needs to be 6” x 4”. So quilt, slow stitch, needle felt, machine stitch, hand stitch away! Combine techniques even 🙂 Enjoy!
Posting a picture of your finished piece for inclusion in the monthly round up reel can be done by 29 September in the Facebook group (Link below) or on Instagram with the tag #kookypostcardsal2024sept.

I LOVED seeing all of the SAL's for August! I especially appreciate your taking the time and all the effort to show us close up and regular view of them- sometimes so much wonderful detail is missed because of being unable to get close enough- you have done FABULOUSLY! I have so much to comment- but it's nearly midnight here in Oz- and I am ready for sleep. I will comment again tomorrow when I am more awake- and finish what I would love to say to you regarding your new SAL pc's and your wonderful SCRAP buys and well- lots! But I just needed to say Thank You for all this time and effort you take to create videos for us. Big Applause for each and every SAL PC- such creativity and details- amazing and inspiring!

Haha! Glad you enjoyed it all :) Annie’s millefiori idea is awesome so I had to make my own version :) We don’t have the three day weekend now - ours was last weekend. We call it August bank holiday and people get an extra days holiday on the last Monday in August :) xx

Lovely fun video. Autumn Hygge himm will need to think about this one. Aww recycle centre things yep have one in Chch and boy did I have a blast, buttons oh my the best buttons ever and loads in a container so cool. Yep I got wool felt loads of it for $2 and I have placed aside for my self, fabric galore and old curtain books aww did I find some beautiful fabrics in there. Yep love these sorts of shops. Ahh the circle thingy Annie is doing haven’t fell down this rabbit hole yet looks like I am just hanging to the edge though. Such a delightful fun video thanks for sharing, have a wonderful week.

Wow Paula - I think your scrap store sounds amazing. I’ll have to visit one day! :) I couldn’t resist Annie’s millefiori - spent ages hand cutting the circles but it was oddly relaxing and so is the stitching so far :) Glad you enjoyed the video. I love your postcard so much :) ❤️

@@KoolKookyKreatures scrap place is amazing was set up by a metal artist in Chch years ago, you can pay to be a yearly member each time you go in you can fill a bag and pay $10 it’s free to join as a member. I only found out about it six months ago and you can get most things there, daughter got a lovely rug that was handmade by an artist out of things and she payed $20 for it, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Aww thank you was a very fun sew. Thank you for these challenges I know I’ve been slack joining in but I do love doing them.
