If you play bedrock side by side with the legacy editions the entire gameplay looks, and feels different. When i went back to playing Xbox One edition it felt like I was playing with better lighting and textures, and in general it just felt less like a mobile game, sucks there was a pretty low render distance though compared to bedrock.

Just a fun fact: Legacy Edition wasn’t just on Xbox 360, PS3 and WiiU. It also ran on PS4 and Xbox One, under there respective names “Xbox One Edition” and “PlayStation 4 Edition”. They ran the same as 360, PS3 and WiiU, but it’s nice that they were ported

Ok but the education edition on bedrock is actually cool cause it comes with: sparklers, glow sticks, ice bomb things, more food and salt, bag of bonemeal, under water TNT, under water torches/collared torches, balloons with many colors, medicine that cures different effects like nausea, as well as heat blocks, bleach, harden glass, and much more.( go to settings under cheats, and you can use it in survival )

I think it has to do with the fact that the game replaced legacy console editions for newer consoles. I think alot of the bugs and scummy micro transactions would be forgivable if legacy console editions were still updated. Bedrock is good if you want to play minecraft with friends on another console, but if both of you have the same console, the legacy versions are just so much more polished and enjoyable.

Yeah, but Mojang discontinued that version (Which is called Legacy btw) because Minecraft PE got more popularity, so they stoped producing Legacy Edition and focus what we know as Minecraft Bedrock Edit: The Legacy version who stay more time was the PS4 version, 'cause legal problems with Sony and stuff, until the finally removed Legacy and replace it with Bedrock

In my opinion Java and Bedrock belong on the same tier. A couple years back I was on the Bedrock hate train and thought it sucked and was just a cash grab by Microsoft but then around early 2018 I started playing both versions and now I honestly mostly play Bedrock edition due to the easy support for multiplayer and simplicity of it all, not to mention how much smoother Bedrock runs on my computer. Both editions have their pros and cons but I'd say that while Java has better modding capabilities and server support, Bedrock is pretty equal with its addons and built-in simple multiplayer functionality at no extra cost.

Minecraft java edition is made in java, but bedrock edition is made in C++ , the reason why bedrock edition is faster is because C++ performance. In contrast, a program written in C++ gets compiled directly into machine code -- without an intermediary translation required at runtime. This is one reason why C++ programs tend to perform faster than those written in Java.

The bedrock edition couldn't even get the door sound correct, you literally hear the opening door sound when you close the door, the user interface is slow and choppy, the combat system in my opinion is not the best, colour saturation is off, choppy inventory, no pause game capabilities, Block mining lag, block latency drop lag, Camera sensitivity far too sensitive and wonky, mob magnitude too small making standing next to a zombie just fine because they don't come at you and attack, they just stand there like a damn handicap. The bed item isn't even in 3D, and the Graphical user interface is a plain joke. It looks so bad compared to Java. Don't ever attempt to put Bedrock alongside Java. Java Edition will always be the Best, it had the longest run on its life, it had more time to filter out so many bugs but at the same time, keep the ones that making Minecraft feel like Minecraft. If I could, I would remove Bedrock from Windows 10. Because that gives an unfair advantage to those on consoles in server pvp. Computers have far better precision, so giving pc users the ability to win in every pvp server is silly.

Bedrock has some good features. I am a java player and i love some of the Bedrock features. I wish we had all the nice features in Java edition it would definitely be great. Examples: -In Bedrock Edition, when it is snowing, all tree leaves that is in the place where it is snowing will turn white. at first it will be a small amount and then it will be medium and then every single leaf on the tree is white which i want in java. -In Bedrock Edition you can put blocks in front of a bridge which means that you dont need to crouch, go to the edge of the block, look down and click over and over again you can just simply put a block in the empty space. -And some other features.

The legacy console editions had built in minigames which us such a cool feature. I would rank them in the good tier. Also Education edition has so many interesting quirks and you can do a lot with it. It's basically bedrock but with some more interesting content. I'd put it higher.

I think the China Edition should have it's own tier, it's so bad that you can't even start the game without first getting 100 ads, everything in the chat is censored so you can't send messages to your friends, and the marketplace is absolutely stuffed with stolen mods. also, it's always a few updates late and the game itself is gerenally very laggy

2:15 fun fact! The camera was a deleted feature for pocket edition which was capable of taking screenshots in game, But it wasn't added untill education edition. But if you use a client in alpha of pocket edition you can still use the cámara, and it's pretty dope, I have it in my kindle fire with alpha 0.8.1
