"It's not Mexican food, it's Korean food with a tortilla" 😂 girl, I'm an Italian who's been abroad for about 10 years, and this is the best description of trying your native food abroad lol not to say that good Italian restaurants outside of Italy do not exist at all... but yeah, Italian food abroad is very often "local food with pesto on top" 😂 Loved the video!❤

Ahahahah if you’re not already in Korea, you should try the Italian food here when/if you come!! My Italian friends hate it 😂😂😂 Not to mention their are Italian restaurants everywhere here haha it’s the go-to date food 🫠 But I know what you mean 🥲 It’s not that the Mexican food here is bad, it’s just not the kind of Mexican food I’m missing

I was one of the people curious about the dating scene in Korea. I did not know it was a boundary for you, but thank you so much for sharing what you did. It painted a picture of what I suspected it was like! Keep thriving in Korea Natalia! You’re doing great! ❤👏🏽✨🥂

I love your videos. One of the things that I find sets you apart is that you’ve been doing you, it’s not about chasing a Korean boy, or a relationship or just a Degree. You truly love learning, and you have been very intentional in your choices, so it’s really great to see your progress, your move to Seoul, your marketing job. Your content is so wholesome. You have been making the most of your 20s.

As a BCS native who studied abroad for one year at KU, I definitely feel you on the "there's nothing to do back home." I get so exhausted from having to drive everywhere now and even when I do drive there's only like one thing to do in the area I drive to :,) Thankfully, there are more Korean restaurants in the BCS area than previous years, so I feel somewhat more at my second home (Korea).

I always have appreciated your awareness of your platform haha. I feel like there isnt much of a social construct of socialization (that sounds really fancy) after college. We all get older and when we drink the hangovers are ROUGH. My husband and I have to kinda force our friends to do a board game night every week for some socialization. I feel like that's what I like the most about korean work culture is that it really does force you to be friends with your coworkers. xD

LingQ is my favorite tool to study languages right now. I’m reading 나 혼자만 레벨업 (a fun fantasy light novel that takes place in Seoul). Being able to import your own content is key. LingQ is nice but learning Korean is really slow 😂. I wish I could go to Korea to study like you did.

Your section on dating was funny and surprising; I'm an introvert and have anxiety so having strangers come up to me (and especially ask me out) makes me nervous. But, I will say I think it's nice that is normal, just having a guy go up to a girl and ask her out if he's interested. On your last section about eventually moving away, I'd argue a large part of that is because of the lack of walkability, public transportation, city planning, zoning issues that make it very hard in the us to have a large sense of community and easily build relationships. It's a large topic to discuss, but yeah one of the reasons I plan on moving out of the US is so that I can have more mobility and greater social life.

Thank you for answering these questions! If I remember correctly I think asked about jeans because I'm really struggling, if I do come back after going home in March I will make sure to bring many pairs of trousers and jeans haha. You are so on point about dating in Korea. I've actually been on dating apps and to me it was crazy that the guys just said hi on those and then invited you out on a date without knowing anything about you. Like I want to get to know them a little before taking the time to meet in person. Also, I think the guys in Seoul and Busan are a little bit more bold as I live in Daegu and no one has ever approached me here but in Busan I got approached twice (Seould zero times for now haha). I like that you are enjoying your job still! I've actually been mentally exhausted for a couple of months as an English teacher here so I'm thinking of going back home as the pay isn't worth the stress (might make a video on it) but I will definitely miss my social life like you as mine is nonexistent in England 😅 Keep posting videos Natalia as they brighten up my day and I hope you show Seoul during the Christmas time, I'm coming for a couple of days so I need recommendations of where to go 🤩

First, I wish someone had told me about the Kakao Talk group chat thing before I was added to a parent's group chat or one with my students. Not that I had anything that wasn't clean, but it was kind of off putting to have them see what I didn't intend them to see. Second, GIRL, GIRL. The way people wanna claim you as their girlfriend so quickly and then disappear like 3 weeks later is so comical. The whiplash...like, it's just so confusing. Even people in their 30s do that mess...like, I DON'T GET IT...😅 And then they get mad if you say you want to take it slowly. I do really tell people they are my boyfriend until like the 4/5 date which almost never happens cause that's how quickly they are gone. I've never had anyone walk up to me and ask me out though. Maybe that's in Seoul, but I go to Seoul often by myself and no one asks me out. LOL
