The right way to load a 75 round drum for AK 47

I have the one made in Romania. I love these drums. I don't rapid fire but I enjoy target shooting and I can load 2 of these and take some targets and the spotting scope for some fun at the range. I made a little tool to relieve the spring tension. You definitely don't want your fingers caught in there popping the spring tension. Those 2 winding tabs on the inside can really cause you pain and grief not to mention ruin a fun day of shooting. I took an old pair of scissors and grinded the rivet off to separate them. I cut the pointy end off and wrapped the whole thing with electrical tape and then duct tape. Then I use the finger hole end to pop the spring tension. Great video!!

Just started to load my new drum. All I had was a pciture to go by. After watching your video, I now understand what to do. Glad I didn't load more than 20 rounds the wrong way. Thanks for saving me time and frustration.

I get 76 rounds in my 75 rd drum too 🤔. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong cause the old one, which got replaced by the new being defective, only held 75. 😅 So 76 is normal I assume?!

2 questions. 1. Drum unit to old type AKM or for AK 100 series also in civil case also possible to install? 2. Possible to make some details for fix 10 units ammo only? It is according to russian federal civil law for guns. Thanks you.

If so, in Canada we have drums like these pinned to five round capacity by the placement of a small rivet that prevents ammo of more than five rounds.
