I accidentally dented mine, the spring won't load the rounds properly now. I feel really bad I screwed it up, hopefully your video will help me fix it.

Minute 1:36 that spring there, do you know if it's sold anywhere?
@mikedoingmikethings7026 ай бұрын
So sorry, youtube did not notify me of your comment. I do not, but a similar spring should work. It is not in any harsh tension or heat so I'm assuming a med-duty type spring will work...

What did you use to clean the grease out of the grooves with. Just bought this same one and mine appears to have a fair amount of grease in it. Don’t think it’s cosmoline, but it could be. I tried a little bit of bore cleaner but that didn’t quite get it it all
@mikedoingmikethings7026 ай бұрын
Sorry, my reply is only 2 years late LOL I used Hoppes 9. You can also use brake cleaner, but I don't think it will be a good idea as it may remove all the grease and rusts may form. I like Hoppes because it leaves a bit of lubricant to prevent rust...

Good vid man, thanks for sending me a link. I gotta be honest with you.... I have had bad experience with Korean made mags in general (Glock and AK drum mags). I think if I ever decide to buy another drum mag for the AK, I will go with the Romanian because the Russian and Chinese are way too damn expensive. Currently I just have two 40 round mags taped together.... holds more rounds but I do have to change mags halfway through.

Sorry I was not notified of your inquiry. I'm sure you figured it out by now, but you can place your fingers on the edge and pry it up and it should come right off...

You are most welcome. I wouldn't trust my life on a cheapo drum either but that's why we train with a side arm just incase, sh1t happens on a sh!t hits the fan scenario LoL I'll just stick with my trusty 40 rounders, they are light, durable and affordable. Put it this way, are you really gonna drag that empty drum around on a combat zone, until you get the chance to put some rounds in it again? I know I won't...

I wouldn’t prefer to trust my life with even a good quality drum either. But even in a combat scenario, I can see the upside of utilizing them. Lugging around 5-6 drummies and not worrying about having to reload them is something I could see playing out.

You should never disassemble a gun or anything that goes with a gun. You need to shoot the gun more not tamper with the drum. It will break in with use if you do not tamper with it.

@@TQtheNeck exactly. This is the stupidest take I have seen in a looooong time, and mind you I am on Reddit all the time, so that's saying something...

@@that1electrician One year later, but your reply is still hilarious... He probably skipped the part when I said I was having issues with the "last round jam"...
