When I was in my early teens, we had neighbors from Korea. A family of 5, they found out that my dad was a single parent of me and my brother and were horrified. They insisted we eat supper with them most every night. We were also close to a Mexican family when I was little. Someone from Korea tell me if I'm right or wrong, but I feel like the Mexican and Korean people have a similar attitude towards food. Family meals are crazy important, and the mother and/or grandmother of a family is always trying to fatten up people they like.

Yeah I would say so lol. I was stationed in Korea for two years and made friends with a Korean soldier. He invited me home and his mom kept feeding me plate after plate of food (which I happily ate because it was _really_ good! lol) It reminded me of when I would visit my legal guardian. She always insisted I eat, even when I told her I had eaten already, I had no choice. There was already a plate before me lol. edit: formatting.

I've never been to a Mexican restaurant with actual spicy food or spicy sauce... my mom cooks authentic Mexican food and the sauces she makes are the best I've ever had and so fucking spicy. she always always gets asked to make food for people for $$ xD but her arm is messed up so she can't really be pleasuring the hundreds of friends and family, glad she does for us though.
