Glad they didn't try to mess them up with too much stuff as in ketchup, mustard or pickles. I know lots of folks like that stuff but I prefer my burgers relatively pure although I do like the lettuce and tomatoes. And those tomatoes looked really good.

English is also a mandatory taught subject in the schools (used to be French), so their proficiency in English is not really unusual (for younger people). Also being in Saigon, I doubt that they've never seen a hamburger before, although the title could be splitting hairs in that they've never eaten a CHEESE burger before.

could be work attitude and getting fired is easier. I loved the mcds I had in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Things tasted fresh, there were different or unique items to the menu and best of all, the original fried pies but with different fillings~ I had mcd in Melbourne too,but I don't remember anything except the inside looked nice and clean

Because in the USA they fry up the burgers all in one place (probably done on an assembly line, by robots), they then flash freeze them and then ship them to the restaurants which microwave them as they are ordered. In most other countries they cook them fresh on a grill, minutes before you eat them. The way it should be.
