Prince Sado (a name later given to him which means 'to think of with great sorrow'). Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon would later be constructed by his son to guard over his father's remains.
@user-dr2iz6sq9l
@user-dr2iz6sq9l Жыл бұрын
Prince Sado suffered from mental illness due to his father's excessive expectations and child abuse. After the deaths of 'Queen Jeongseong' and 'Queen Inwon', who were the only buffers between the father and son, he started killing people in the palace. He had obsessive-compulsive disorder that made it difficult to wear clothes, and a court lady who dressed him was killed by him because 'his clothes' touched 'him'. He killed more than 100 people, and the madness of Sado, created by Prince Sado's father Yeongjo, ended by King Yeongjo.

@@ii4826 However, The Ōei Invasion was to make Japan stop sending pirates to Korea. Before that, Korean soldiers invaded Tsushima because the Mongols forced them to do so. But, if we go back further, the pirates from the Silla kingdom of Korea did invade Japan multiple times. Ōei Invasion wasn't even considered an invasion from the Korean perspective. Instead, it was self-defense against the raiders, which were off-season soldiers. I'm not saying Korea was peaceful because it was moral, but because Korea had to avoid two-front wars as much as possible since the Jurchens were up North, and the Japanese were coming from the sea.

Even though he created a new language, Korean writings still had a lot of ancient Chinese in it because there’s literally no words to describe something in Korean back then. Even now when I ask about certain complex words to be translated, it’s just the English pronunciation of it. From what my grandma remembers, a lot of documents stopped using Chinese starting 1900s because that’s when the govt wanted to solidify hangul as the official Korean language Edit: My apologies on writing misinformation. The original intention of the statement is that ‘words’ share some similarities.

in real life, the korean navy at the time actually used armored ships with cannons to defeat the japanese invaders, not really ramming.

Shout out to admiral Yi who BTFO the Japanese, then got fired due to intrigue pushed by the Japs themselves and then BTFO the Japanese AGAIN despite having practically no ships left after his predecessor lost a major naval battle against them.

You forget the part where Korean War Hero is jailed and tortured on 3 different occasions but the corrupt government has to let him go back to the army, because every time he's put in jail 90% of the korean army/navy is confirmed KIA in a single battle. And after winning 3 Decisive Strategic Victories with 10% I mean 6% I mean 3% of his countries strenght, when at 100% strength they were still outnumbered 10-1, he's either killed in the final battle, or again gets exiled to Ligma Island where he finally dies. The reason we didn't get a Korean Art of War equivalent was because that requires the local king to not instakill his war hero the exact millisecond he stops being useful.
