Finally!!! I have finally found the answer. I’ve been wondering about this 다 ending in like forever. I always thought ( based on what I learned ) that 다 should be scrapped off and conjugated but I always wondered why I hear Korean speaking ending their sentences in 다 hence I was confused. But lo and behold! 선생님 has the answer!!! Thank you very much!!

"-네" could also be used poetically when is combined with other ending suffixes. For instance, the phrase 바람이 분다네- wind blows. would've been sounded just normal with just "-다" but with the edition of "-네" it would sound way lyrical and fancy.

선생님, you’re probably busy, but just in case you have time to read comments … I forgot to ask this during class. I’m wondering what it means when song lyrics end with ~ㄴ/는 걸 (sometimes without a space in between). For example, 청하 - Gotta Go (벌써 12시): “싫지가 않은걸” and “조그만 끈 붙잡고 있는 걸”. Also, Stray Kids - Red Lights: “알잖아 널 가만히 둘 수 없는 걸”. If you already explain this somewhere, please point me to that. Thank you!

안녕하세요 태민님~ -걸's most common usages are expressing 1.regret and 2.guesses. But in those parts of the lyrics, 걸 is used as a way of pointing out something you want to particularly emphasize, and it really doesn't mean anything in particular. This way of using 걸 is less common in spoken form, and if it has to be used, it's also mostly in written form (like lyrics for example or even texting) rather than spoken. For example, somebody texts me "오늘 같이 놀자 (let's hang out today)" and I could type back "근데 지금 비가 오는 걸 ㅠㅠ (but it's raining outside)" but if it's a spoken convo I would much rather say, "근데 지금 비오는데" just because it sounds kinda cheesy when it's spoken out loud, for reasons I cannot really put a finger on. That doesn't mean it cannot be used at all though, since it's not a grammatically ill sentence. It's more the feeling. I hope this explains :)

I have a question (if anyone knows this please share). I believe there was one example in there where someone combined 2 sentence endings together. So far with my new years resolution of writing daily sentences, I use plain form endings, and sometimes the sentences would sound more natural to have some of these other endings like 지, 네 even 잖아. If I want these endings, does that replace 다 for "correct" written form, or should they be combined somehow?

Unless you are writing an official article(e.g. a book, news article, blog post etc), yes that is okay, because you don’t need to end sentences in -다 in personal writings, like your journals for example. You can write journals as if you’re talking. It’s true that Koreans do use -다 ending in their diaries most commonly, but that’s not an absolute requirement. It’s your own journal after all. And -다 cannot be mixed with other sentence endings like 잖아, 거든, 네. (잖아다, 거든다 🙅‍♀️)

So Today I am on espisode 15 of Strong Girl Nam-soon, and 17:11 minutes from the end I see this: 고소조차 못 하잖아? I went back to the 잖다 section to review, but unfortunately there is not an explanation for when it is in question form. I hope to understand what it means when it is in question form, because then how does it differ between 지/죠. I mean from an English perspective if has that "right?" kind of feel to it. Then they are not sure if the person already knows it. So then what is the difference between 지/죠 and 잖아 when in question form?

I've researched this a little and it seems the answer is "you know that, right?" vs. "right?" roughly speaking. So the ending adds a sense of assertion or shared knowledge to the question. It implies that the speaker expects the listener to already be aware of the information.

잖아 is not a question ending per se :) the question marker is placed just to indicate the raise of tone. There is no difference in the usage of 잖아 whether it’s marked with a question marker or not.
