Curious. I have a Korean era McCord in original condition and the paint is way darker than that.

Paint can darken with age and storage conditions. Shade 319 like I used here is correct for late WW2 and Korea era

So I really wasn't that far off when I repainted mine then. That Krylon Camouflage OD really is a close match to OD319.

What you use to put the badge

In ww2 how do they put badges in the front of the M1 pot

In WW2 they would scrape the paint off and braise or solder them onto the bare metal
