The Dance of Destruction you were talking about is called Tandav. So, there is a story behind the song and it was sung by Ravana( He is believed to be greatest devotee of Lord Shiva) But the story goes like this : Ravana was crossing mount Kailash on pushpak viman(It can fly like an airplane without a pilot) but after a bit he found that he could cross it. So he decided to inspect it and found Nandi( who is a bull) then he found that the mountain is home to Lord Shiva. Ravana was very arrogant person, so he insulted both Nandi and Lord Shiva, enraged by this Nandi crused him that 'Ravana will see his downfall by the hands of Monkeys.) Ravana obviosly didn't take him seriously and decided that If he cant cross Mount Kailash then he will just remove it from his way(He was powerful enough to remove mountains without breaking a sweat). At that time Lord Shiva was meditating and as he is omnipresent entity, he knew what happened and decided to crush Ravana's arrogance and so he put pressure on the mountain with his smallest toe and the whole mountain come crashing down on Ravana. Ravana was impressed with the mighty being and pulled out his own veins to make the strings of a veena and sung the Tandav as Lord Shiva Loved to Dance, he is alao called "Nataraja" because of it. So, You should totally on TANDAV Choreography by Sayani Chakraborty. It is a masterpiece and the dancer did justice to the dance form, the song usually shows a lot of anger and passion and devotion but also inner peace.

I am a dancer too and the way you said the dress was like apron was really funny🤣 actually I have done a lot of performances too and the dress is either a 9 piece set or a 12 piece set and like there is alot of a accessories and also you have to wear hair extensions and more than 12 accessories just on your head and it's really exhausting but very exciting too
