It might be true what you are saying, but it’s just a PSA in case of a shooting, not a PSA of preventing. Because the US doesn’t care about the „why“ or blames it on bs, except to look for the cause which is in most cases bullying of some sort. Just like suicide. Both have the main reason BULLYING.

In the past back to school shopping was about buying your favorite supplies for the school year, folders with your favorite cartoon character on them, your favorite color pencil box etc. Nowadays its about picking out items that you might need to defend yourself during a school shooting. A protractor has a new purpose.

They’re selling and advertising bullet proof backpacks too and at my school, some of the kids took the tennis balls off of the bottoms of the chairs to use as a projectile when we had an incident of our own. Everything became a shield, a projectile, a weapon, a barricade, and a potential medical aid. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt!

School shootings have become the norm here in the US..There have been 488 mass shootings across the US so far in 2024 and 83 school shootings as of Dec.16, 2024. Kids as young as 5 start active shooter drills in school where cops go around with real guns pretending to be an active shooter..One of my friends had to take her child out of public school (she was 7) because of how much stress and fear the drills and everything else was causing her child. I almost bought my son one of those bulletproof back backs one year...Every day I send him to school wondering if the next time I see him will be to identify his body after a school shooting. Living in America is absolutely terrifying but what is even more terrifying, is raising a child here.
@OverlordAlpha
@OverlordAlpha 6 күн бұрын
Mass shootings are not what you think they are. An actual shooting where someone takes a weapon and opens up into a crowd of bystanders is more rare than having a tree fall on you. A mass shooting constitutes a shooting involving 4 or more individuals and nobody has to die for it to be considered a mass shooting. This a daily occurrence in Chicago, y'know, where some of the strictest gun laws are? School doesn't even have to be in for it to be considered a school shooting. Stray shots or a shooting after hours is considered a school shooting even if it's not in the school itself nor anyone from the school itself is involved.

The PSA’s about School Shootings was made by sandy hook promise named after The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a mass shooting that occurred on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, United States, when 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 26 people. Twenty of the victims were children between six and seven years old, and the other six were adult staff members. Earlier that day, before driving to the school, Lanza fatally shot his mother at their Newtown home. As first responders arrived at the school, Lanza died by suicide, shooting himself in the head. The incident is the deadliest mass shooting in Connecticut history and the deadliest at an elementary school in U.S. history. The shooting prompted renewed debate about gun control in the United States, including proposals to make the background-check system universal, and for new federal and state gun legislation banning the sale and manufacture of certain types of semi-automatic firearms and magazines which can hold more than ten rounds of ammunition.
@OverlordAlpha
@OverlordAlpha Жыл бұрын
The thing is, regardless of what happens, the Government is unlikely to ever truly ban these guns. During the Bundy standoff the Feds and State Police brought out over 200 law enforcement officers but were still outnumbered by local Militia and had to concede in the end, with the assistant sheriff saying "They were shouting at us and pointing guns. We were outgunned and outmanned. It wouldn't have have a good result." Militia members had set up checkpoints and various positions including "Tactical positions on overpasses overlooking Law Enforcement" And that was over cattle, just imagine how they'd react over actual Gun Legislation. Most Law Enforcement in recent years have become overwhelmingly pro 2a, with most owning private guns themselves same as the Military. Thousands of counties have made their counties "2a strongholds" where local Law Enforcement refuse to enforce gun laws that they view as infringement. It's a hard decision to make so in the end they will do everything but actually ban guns. Any real Legislation usually immediately gets scrapped. But truthfully, Politicians are afraid of enacting gun legislation because they know the Militias and gun owners will show up their doorsteps and there will be widespread Civil unrest. Possibly even a second Civil War.

Did you ever wondered why Korea is always in the top three, mostly number one, when it comes to suicide? Corruption, literal slavery… don’t act all high and mighty, I love Korea, but it is far from perfect. Ever heard of „the frog boys“? The Sewol ferry? Burnin sun? The JMS CULT? The curling iron incident? The „Korea Death mall“ incident… shall I go on and let’s talk about all the cover ups and lies. Shall we talk about Woo Bum-kon? Kim Dae-doo? Lee Chun-jae? Yoo Young-chul? Or the incidents in July/August? Two Attacks with knives and a car? The Halloween incident? The incident where a bunch of 13 year old killed an 18 year old and got nothing? Oh what about the Nth Room case? Or shall we talk about Workplaces? Illegal business practices are comparatively common, as are behaviours towards employees that would be considered illegal in many developed countries. Even hitting/beating employees and forcing women to drink and endure sexual harassment/assault… like f.e. Towards female soldier, who then unsubscribe from life…. Too much hardcore nationalist! Discrimination against dark skinned people! Drinking and driving which causes massive numbers of causalties, Too many perverts who put up cameras! They found cameras hidden in toilets in a well known restaurant! Hotels and under-skirt pictures/videos…Plastic surgery everywhere, Women are considered not equal to men! Prostitution, South Korea has largest numbers of prostitutes ranked 2nd after venuzuela per 100000person. So again don’t act like Korea is so much better… I could write more but I need some sleep…

Praying that someone doesn’t die has nothing to do with the occurrence percentage of bullying or shootings. It’s not a competition of what country has it worse. Every country has crime in it doesn’t mean it’s “rich coming from Koreans” to care about another country’s crime and bullying.
