I have never been scared like that watching a movie since i was like 7 or something. And the girl barely even moved!

Ikr. I’m obsessed with horror movies as well and always on the hunt for the good quality ones since I rarely get scared of ghosts in films. I must admit that I had low expectation on western production because movies like the conjuring, paranormal activity and similar ones always disappoint me 😂😅 However, the autopsy of Jane Doe and Hereditary proved me wrong and that the West can also come out with scary plot and ghosts too like the Asian countries. For me, the more the jump scares the director tries to put in into a horror movie, the lesser quality it will become. Horror movies shouldn’t be JUST about shocking your audience with jump scares, but it’s about slowly building suspension and creepiness with a good plot as the film goes on and leave the audience mentally scarred with the memory of being haunted. But oh well, this is just my opinion about how a good horror movie should be 🤣🤣

None of them phase me anymore to this day, not even Pennywise (Though he never felt scary in the first place). I can look at all those other movies and roll my eyes, even if I haven't seen a scary movie in 10+ years. But there's only 1 horror film that still keeps me up at night.. it's JU ON (Grudge 2) without a doubt. It has haunted my core memories for decades, I will literally never watch it again. To preface, I bought the DVD excitedly as a kid and I had to give it away because I was too terrified to watch it by myself after the first few minutes, plus no one wanted to enjoy it with me, i was the only horror fan in my family. I still sometimes avoid looking at mirrors in the dark, particularly if i think about this movie. Even thinking about this movie brings back memories of the disembodied screaming (that one scene, the worst scene in the movie). At one point in my teenage years, I thought "maybe it's not as scary as it felt when I was 10, let me give it a rewatch" heck no, it was still just as cursed. Haven't seen it since

When she asked why they made creepy sounds at 8:26, it’s the bells they add to the body of a dead person. It was practiced a lot in the United States (other countries as well) because the dead people they buried or are said to be dead sometimes aren’t. So if the person doing to autopsy or preparing the dead body for burial hears it, it’s said they are actually still alive. But now in present time, we no longer use bells because the medical field has evolved that help us determine whether or not the person is truly deceased. I think they even explain it in the movie but just wanted to write this for anyone who is curious :)

@GuranPurin Oh yea, it's the noises she makes that scare me. That's how you know to put your guard up because she's going to manifest. And she's also the only one strong enough to manifest in outside locations. I think it was just her look that creeped me out, this very pale face and dark eyes and blood on her white night gown, which I've come to learn now is a classic example of Japanese folklore in regards to Japanese spirits, especially female, it's just something about that iconic, terrifying, don't-want-to-see-that-in-my-dreams, type of character she is. Takako Fuji, who played Kayako for the first 5 movies, really deserves all the praise she gets for that horrifying role.

I think you can only find a movie scary if it’s somewhat believable to you. That’s why the only movie that has affected me and I haven’t seen to many is “The Fourth Kind” because it’s about aliens or basically the unknown.

That's different. Here in the US we tend to do horror movies in the fall (because of Halloween) and action movies in the summer (because of summer vacations).

Yes I love all of those so much! Decapitation/ending for hereditary. Lawnmower/opening scene/bbq/yard hedges for sinister. And tongue split/arm cut off/face cut/first seeing the abomination/ending for evil dead.

I don't like horror films, but I watched Autopsy of Jane Doe on Netflix years back, and I was surprised by how good the build up was!

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is the scariest for me and I've seen a gazillion horror movies since I was 6 years old. If they only knew the whole story of that movie, it's even scarier than the movie itself.

When I see the Grudge/Ju-On part, it still gives me the creeps! Back in my teens in the early 00's, Japanese horror had a huge impact and it is still one of the scariest things I've ever seen😱 I've only watched it once and it's still enough for me! Still a masterpiece though

To this day, Shutter is my childhood trauma. I could not with that clip of it. 😩 Thai horror movies are so scary because most of them are based on true stories- plus I heard the whole movie production staff have to make sure to pray, and get blessed before actually filming the movie.

All these movies were amazing to show! I remember watching Shutter and Ju on as a kid and being absolutey terrified! The autopsy of Jane doe was a horror movie that fcked with me! It was such a good horror movie! Heejiin and Minji were so hilarious in this! I would definitely be laughing from fear like them! I wish they would some times watch the whole films to understand the movie more but understandably that would be too much time. Dead silence would of been an amazing movie for them to watch as well!

I just found it interesting how much sound effects and music seem to play a part in how scary or disturbing a scene is, no matter what part of the world it is from.

Please do Koreans React To 'The Horror Films In The World' Part 2 and react to: 4bia - "Flight 244 (เที่ยวบิน 224)", Phobia 2 - ""Ward" (ห้องเตียงรวม; "Shared Room") ", Phobia 2 - ""Salvage" (รถมือสอง; "Second Hand Car")!
