'Most fluent speakers on the internet' which basically makes him one of the most fluent foreign speakers of Japanese on the planet, surely?
@オリバーオリバー-e4d4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, he probably is ranked among the top 100 foreign Japanese speakers in the world or something; I can't see how many other people were as invested as he was and used an SRS to attain a passive vocabulary of ~30,000 words (which is higher than the average native). He literally devoted everything in his life to this for many years, and there is almost no other foreigner that can accomplish that level of dedication amidst their own personal endeavors and whatnot. Who knows.
@inputimmersion95774 жыл бұрын
@@オリバーオリバー-e4d I'm just talking about the result, not what he did to get there. He speaks, apparently, almost like a native. That puts him as one of the best foreign Japanese speakers on the planet i would have thought.
@ウドン-m2q4 жыл бұрын
I am completely impressed by Matt’s Japanese ability, but in terms of speaking, he and Dogen are not the best even on the internet. There are some completely native sounding Chinese people, (e.g. とある留学生のむいむい)and there is a huge gap between them and Matt or Dogen.
@inputimmersion95774 жыл бұрын
@@ウドン-m2q Cool story bro but we're not talking about Chinese
@r-5044 жыл бұрын
@@オリバーオリバー-e4d Honestly, Matt's vocabulary and grammatical knowledge are outstanding but his speaking ability is like top 10,000 or something. (No offence to him) There are tons of extremely fluent foreigners in Japan. I've seen multiple international students who sound perfect or maybe better than average native students.

Dude, I see you have a Japanese girlfriend( ´∀` ) and then I am thinking of going out with one who is like 3/4 Japanese and a biologist so, uhhhhhhh, this is awkward but FUCK I MISS PORTLAND!!!!!!! And I miss Egypt and David Chaparro. If my parents read this, I think I might have to run away and join the circus again 的様上手です。and then after my burnout dude, I made up a word for my level which is 上態 but they are actually made up of 当て字 which makes reading the asahi shinbun sometimes FUCKING BORING DUDE!!!!! ~now i thought maybe i'd try to memorize every character of the zhonggua dai zidian(57,000 characters) which haha i did when i was pissed drunk(martin sheen apocalypse super saiyan god goku level) i got to like 5,000 i could use like khatzumoto said he learned them in 2006?? and now i'm at 13,000 i think, but i also use my analytical intelligence and more or less a revised version of Christopher Langan's CTMU to create my own, but you can only do this at the level of katakana when you're starting out like khatz was back in '04 dude know what i'm saying????? Balanced out with meditation and Tommy Chong movies rock, sorry(he's part chinese i think, he knows about the rituals but not the language???) i do like sponsoring possibly~考える my japanese sounds a bit like kobun poetry so i don't use much until i know a person well and this is how i learned to meditate in the language, and also fumble, and more or less it feels like learning to swim. and this is how you make a killa playlist 歌ううたう唄う謡う🎶~#13kkanji #AJATT #MIA #SAVETHEWHALES(covid-19 beat with vaccines?? meditation?? cbd??) THIS IS WHERE MY AJATT AND EXTENSION OF WILLIAM JAMES SIDIS(1898-1944) VENDERGOOD TO CHINESE CHARACTERS COMES FROM ideas bro~ they got cool springs and lots of caves in cave junction and in kyoto japan there is meditation and zen gods and furyoku and energy dragon machines that inspire and fuel a 12 year old who all he wanted to do was watch RANMA 1/2!! and his mom was like(what's anime??) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJXEiYSbh7WCZsk kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6K6h6ZnhJqMj5I i'm watching it as an adult now in japanese and its so much better, between that and the breakfast club i understand everything. Ok, again Matt Sensei, take care alright, godspeed.
