I think if Quantumania has been released before Love and Thunder it would have gotten more positive reviews and the “hangover” would have affected L and T. Quantumania was a misfire but I enjoyed it more than Thor. Love and Thunder was obnoxiously unfunny almost from the the first minute. Though I think that Thor and Jane’s relationship was handled well and Bale’s Gorr was in a different, better film. Antman should always be the wackiest thing in his own film and be in an environment where a sense of scale actually matters.

I honestly doubt they'll get that far, but if they manage to complete the "Furious Finale Trilogy", the only way they can possibly make 'Fast XXX' top anything that came before it would be if, at the start of the movie, Dominic Toretto gets taken out and ends up in critical care at the hospital. The remaining crew, still desperate to eliminate the main villain, has to scramble to replace their downed leader...by recruiting Xander Cage onto the team!!!

I saw the first Insidious in an empty theater by myself and really enjoyed it. I think being alone made it more effective. The second one I thought was a big step down and don't remember the 3rd, so that's when I fell off that franchise. Same with the Saw films. Wasn't a huge fan but got enjoyment up to that point. What pisses me off is all those horror films became franchises while Whannel's Upgrade went under the radar. Still waiting for an update on the television series. Maybe that's a blessing since in turn they haven't cash-grabbed it to death.

There was no time travel in 65. This was a movie about an ancient advanced civilization that had an accident on earth right at the time that the asteroid came that killed the dinosaurs. For me, that was hardcore sci-fi. It was original. And knowing what was going to happen with the asteroid added a lot of portent for me. There we're a couple of maybe weird things in the civilization, but they couldn't have been exactly like us. It was already a big leap having them look 100% human.

I love that Julian has slotted in to the grand tradition of guys like Girts and Chris, who refuse to show ANY mercy to terrible films & even inspiring more venom in Korey 😅 And you're spot on with the F&F movies now. There's no stakes, nobody gets hurt or dies, and even characters like Han who did actually die in previous films are just retconned back to life anyway. You know whatever stupid insane CGI physics defying bollocks they do in these films, nobody will fail or screw up or get hurt or die. The cars are meaningless, the 'family' aspect is a meme, its just the Expendables with pretty cars now.

I agree with the Ant Man 3 take. As much as I liked Majors as Kang, I definitely felt this was one of the weaker MCU movies. Heck, even The Marvels/Captain Marvel 2 I liked more than A.M.3. Even with that dang musical/singing sequence.
