@@Ν11-φ9ρ .. Hello, Andy! How have you been? Yes, it's available. Not everything fits into one .esx file, which I discussed early in the video, so there are some wav files included. You are a huge contributor to the ESX community, and as such I'd like to give you the pack for free. Send me an email at SnowMetalUniversity@gmail.com and I'll make sure you get it. :)

In your live set do you record the patterns into your 505 then switch to a synth sound pattern and then record that as well? I would be very interested in seeing how you preform your set and how you use each instrument.
@danieklerr5 жыл бұрын
Hello.. As you probably already gathered, for this video I didn't use the 505 at all. When I do use it, though, I don't run the ESX into the 505 at all, but rather I run the 505 into the ESX. This way, I can use the ESX as an extra effects unit for the 505, with filters, modulation, pan etc. The 505 sends MIDI clock to the ESX, so the two units are in perfect sync, and I record vocal loops, toy keyboards, percussion and even guitars, and everything stays in time. Thanks for watching!

@@danieklerr Thanks for the reply! I havent had my hands on an ESX in a long time. I unfortunately had to sell both units due to some financial issues back when I was younger. I hope to find those machines again someday.

@@8-BitHeart79 .. Right on, sorry to hear you were compelled to sell your gear. Life happens sometimes, eh? I used to own the RC202 and I highly recommend it. It's a fantastic looper, and actually has 8 FX engines instead of 6, so in that way is nicer than the 505. It's easy and fun to lay down a performance on a good looper, and you can add other instruments as you get cash together.. I think a looper and a couple Volcas would be a stellar setup.

So wait, do you have to switch between patterns on the ESX? Or can you just set on autopilot and mess with the settings of certain instruments?
@danieklerr5 жыл бұрын
Hello.. There is a song mode, but I prefer to change the patterns manually, in conjunction with the pattern-chain function which is very, very powerful. Also, when in pattern mode you can make use of the shift+pattern function to create mangled patterns and builds, and have them instantly return to their original state. I did a very comprehensive video on this technique here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIG5ZImQj82Hhas ..Thanks for watching!

Hello, of course it's possible, I made my early career with one by song, and I passed from one to the other to be able to retreat with the "smart media" .. :) :) but yes, 25 vinyls made with, I think so may have !!!!! and you have to learn how to intelligently resampled, and thus save tracks. in short, Yesss !!!! possible!!!

Shame the new units are not as good.
@danieklerr5 жыл бұрын
Hello.. While it's true that the new Electribes aren't as feature-rich, the Sampler does have some redeeming qualities. For one, you can use any of the 16 tracks in the way you wish, meaning you can have multiple slice parts or up to 16 keyboard parts. The sound quality is also way better.. In my videos, search for "legato breaks" and check a unique way of using the newer Electribe Sampler. That said.. I still own and love my ESX and don't own an Electribe Sampler. :) Thanks for watching!

Sound is like on now any other decent machine. What we like with "ESX1 1st gen" is.... its mystère. ("Did you use Logic or any daw?" "Is it hardware combined?"___etc....) For electronica it is great. For ttechno look at "andy garo" videos on KZbin... For modern hip-hop and hard house: it is our turn.
