for me Kross wins just in 'Grand Piano'... other sounds are almost the same. Considering the age of M50, it is still a good synth even nowadays (dec/2023), it has a huge and versatile engine.

O kroos 2 tem um som mais trabalhado em Sterio...o m50 tem mais peso no timbre...mas é coisa que dá pra editar em ambos

Y’all do know that the m50 IS the M3, just without aftertouch. While the kross is a ground up beginner workstation.

Despite this, Kross2 insert FX algorithms are better and it is a sampler and audio recorder, very worthwhile features and advantages, in my opinion. Kross2 can also double as an FX processor for external gear. M50's sequencer is no better, but Kross2 also has a handy step sequencer.

M50 doesnt have the Karma engine, MOSS, EXB Expansion Slots or the Sampler of the M3.. but the Arpeggiators are fantastic on the m50... I made more music and composed so much more on my old m50, than i ever did with my over complicated m3... The m50 has stunning sounds and is a breeze and so much fun... I sold it years ago, but have been thinking of picking up a one pre-owned .. i miss it

I own one of these Korg M50. Just an idea. I used my Neo Ventilator on the stock organ patches. Wow. Makes the M3 look like a joke bro. For real for real... I play that with my organs and man sick... the Kross sounds thinner M50 fuller sound. I got both same deal. I use the Kross as my solo brass flutes etc pads synth pad etc. Basically to solo. My M50 and Yamaha MO6 and MX49 and MM6 will do the rest My JV series is killer

I use Yamaha,Korg,Roland,Ensoniq, Alesis,Hammond,Yes and Casio. Viscount OP6 organ ,KorgBX3and CX3,Roland VK7,8.VR09 organ,Kurtzweil, HAMMOND XK-1 XK2, XK3 ,XM1and XB2 and XB5 and a 1972 X5 hammond as well.

I would recommend the M50 for solo instead, Kross2 for accompaniment specifically becauae it is thinner in sound. Thinner is better for accompaniment; fuller for bass, melody/solo and kick drums.

I do use the M50 for solo sounds . I hate the Kross especially the red one called the Karma .omg it sounds bad weak no belly no highs. But if you can adjust and edit the patch it would be nice but your only limited on certain workstations.
