I just got the Modwave and I look forward to watch everything you do on it. Thanks

Thank you for making this. I've been on the fence about getting the modwave for a long time now. I have the wavestate and opsix. And haven't got the modwave because of the similarities (Effects, samples, etc...) I use Serum and Fathom synth for wavetables, but to me what sets it apart from all of that is the Kaoss Physics, which is probably the biggest reason I want it. I'm probably going to buy it, but not until prices come down, or maybe a used one. This video is much appreciated. Brings me a little bit closer to actually getting it.

Good video, I found it helpful. Consider turning off auto focus on your wide shot camera, it is hunting for focus and making you blurry. With that off, focus will stay where you set it.

True, especially on that camera autofocus is damn messy

Cool video.

Great video, thanks! Btw - you probably already know this, but some of the controls that you're changing from the screen can also be edited directly from the hardware. For example, for LFOs, SHIFT-FREQUENCY controls the LFO waveform, and for Envelopes, SHIFT-VELOCITY controls the direct Envelope amount for Osc 1 and 2. See the blue labels under the knobs for other Shift functions. Similarly, to modulate knobs like A/B BLEND, you don't need to navigate to the page first; just press MOD and > (PAGE +) together, and move the knob to select it as the mod destination.

Thanks Dan! It's indeed a good idea to try and use the shift functions more, but the Modwave was still quite new to me when I made the video ;-)

Nice tutorial. Man this looks complicated! I'd read in reviews that it was a very deep synth and I can see the truth of that from your demo - and we only touched one oscillator and layer!

It's actually a matter of spending time with the synth. I honestly barely use my synths these days and then it's kind of hard to remember how everything worked but if you use them a lot it's gonna be quite straightforward once you get the hang of it ;-)

Hey guys. I just bought Korg Modwave modules....and I thought about buying Wavestate and Opsix modules as well. What I wonder is...why are modules more expensive than synthesizers? The modules have neither keys nor wheels for pitch band and wheel! And from what I've seen, the module has aftertouch but also the synth if you control it externally. Normally, the module should be cheaper, not the other way around.

I think it's because of the metal chassis around the module. The synths are some sort of plastic I guess, which is probably cheaper. I don't think it makes much sense either, because you get less for a high price.
