Nice very nice thanks. The oasys is the best KORG has ever made never played one but to hear that love it love love it and I have a Kronos and an m3 but I wish I had an oasys too mad sounds full. Thickness phatness love it man. Well done KORG

On the OASYS, that sound is in the STR-1 program bank -E118. On Kronos it is on User D062. Or do a Category search in Motion Synths.

@IchabodTodd678 not only can it do vocal recording, you can plug in a mic and record the voice to 4 tracks at a time - each with a different effect setting. For example, one track can be set to record the dry signal, while your singer hears herself with reverb, another track can be vocoded...all in the same pass.

@FreedomProductionsz Build-wise, the OASYS has a lot more going on - some actual metal, more LEDs that tell you exactly where the controllers are set, double the inputs (with Mic preamps), bigger screen, etc. Soundwise, the Kronos can play any OASYS program, has additional EXs sound packs, the SGX and EP pianos, so Kronos has more in that respect. As far as "cinematic music," I am a filmmaker, so you will hear a lot of that from me. Of course, the Kronos/OASYS can do any genre.

Hi, you can find these sounds at korg patches dot com. Under "Kronos," look for the file, "EXi expansion sounds." If you have trouble with those combis, another guy modded them for Kronos and it's called, "EXi xp combis."

@FreedomProductionsz I am a 50 year player whose setup includes 14 keyboards and at least 2 dozen modules of mostly Roland, Korg, & Yamaha gear. I was 1st in Arizona to have an OASYS (88), & will be the 1st to have an 88 Kronos. The Kronos won't replace my OASYS. It will replace my 88 Triton Extreme. The Kronos and the OASYS have different capabilities. Kronos has better pianos (elec. and acoustic) and better at clav.(better libraries on the K). Neither are strictly cinematic by any means.

Yes, DierenBrigade. Kronos can read OASYS programs. However, the OASYS can't read Kronos files.

I just bought oasys and I wonder where are all cool korg pads and stuff. is there really just those 3 or 4 banks + exi and that's it ? does there come more sounds with updates ? I haven't done that yet...

Hey, I apologize for not responding to this, when you posted. Go to Korg patches dot com and load the EXi expansion programs. Most are already on the Kronos.

Here it is. I recommend you open the PCG file and load just the banks, not the Global settings. Best sounds are in USER Bank B - both Programs and USER Bank B Combis. www.midnightsunent.com/FULLSET.pcg
