Absolutely superb tutorial and 100% meat useful information. And important takeaway is that I did not realize that you could hit Escape while recording and access your menus. That was always a big problem for me with this keyboard in the past.

Great feature KAOSS, I have the PA 700 which has the KAOSS as standard and I use it regularly, it has many features, it's just laid out a little differently than the PA 5X it seems, but it comes down to the same thing..............

@@robmoerman6086 You are right it works the same way. The Pa5x is newer with some upgrades, but you use it just like you do with your Pa700. 👍🎹👍

Does the sound always have to sound robotic? Can you change instruments with KAOSS?

Yes, watch the video again and you will see that the sounds being played are coming from Upper 1, Upper 2, Upper and Upper 3. So, go to the keyset and change the sound and you will have the sound you are looking for.

Your sound isn't a line input sounds like it a studio speaker in the background over a mic. Can you upgrade to a line in because the sound is garbled up on the video. Mostly the base is muddy.

It is not about the sound quality, but more about getting my message across, I reserve my sound quality to my clients. In order to put out as many videos as I can I need to do it quickly. I do mix all the sounds in my studio, and it sounds great through my studio monitors.

@@jonmicheals621 I use the DNC sound in the style. In variation 1 I used normal sound, then in fill in 1 I used sound controller 1. When I pressed fill in 1 then I played, sound controller 1 didn't work. but if I press variation 1 then I play, when in play I press fill in 1, then sound controller 1 can function stably. even though on OS 1.2.1 this feature works stably

@drpro9560 I never heard that. It is a good idea to keep all firmware updates backed up. You never know when you have to go back.

Is not stabile, after update and loading user data more sounds do not work,in styles playing no sound.this kaoss is realy kaos !

@bortchy I would try to reload the update. During filming, I had Kaoss open for a few hours without a problem.

@bortchy I would try to reinstall the update. I had Kaoss open for a few hours during filming without a problem. Also, not all presets in Kaoss play sounds, and make sure Upper 1,2, and 3 keys are turned on.

@@jonmicheals621 thanck you wery much but problem are be from kaosšad, i domt kmpw how but after factory reset and loading my user data working normal .Ok how long will se.Im on profesional gig and play ewery day 5-6 hour on stage.But im shure after using kaos pad is system frosen. And a lot sounds desapeare. Maby are be mistake by loading data and kaos pad problem. GHope will be ok now.

@@bortchy Make sure you back everything up. Then re- install version 1.3.0. After you do that see if Kaoss works without crashing or making your sounds go away. If there is no problem and every thing seems to be OK. It might be a conflict with some of your settings from your user data. You might have to import you user data one step at a time. And when you do notice when Kaoss give you trouble. Good Luck, let me know what you find. 👍🎹👍
