Not a fan of the 1 finger stuff but other stuff is really nice. Was going to d/l the demo but wondering the name of some of the pad types so I jump straight to it? I still have the original WS AD...some of it is very close to original. Be great if it lets you detach the animation and make it control/realtime by user

Now I see what's going on with the Wavestate Bo! Actually, it's not that dissimilar from my Montage, but without the FM engine, added features and build quality. The Montage has motion control with lanes that can be rhythmically automated like a sequencer or controlled with the super knob. I'm glad I saw your video before I considered this as my next wavetable synth. It has more in common with my Montage than a PPG. I'm looking for a modern take on old school, Waldorf style wavetable synthesis in my next synth. From what I see, the Wavestate isn't the tool to get me there. The Hydrasynth seems the best bet for me.

Any idea when it will be available to buy.
@blueeyedsoulman4 жыл бұрын
The manual is available at Korg's website. Each sound can be 4 layers deep but it is not a multi-timbrel instrument. It really needs aftertouch and at least 61 keys to be taken seriously as professional in this day and age. So basically you need to connect it to a controller and keep it close enough to reach the knobs. 3 octaves is what a minimalistic mono-lead synth should have, not a poly-synth.

Is everyone loving this born in the late 90s? Because yes, it sounds nice, but it doesn't strike me as anything we couldn't make in the 90s and 00s with the digital synths that were pretty much the only things you could buy new back then. It is cool enough, and I would use it if it was sitting around, but nothing really impressive here as far as sound engine goes IMO. Not ragging on people who like it AT ALL, it just seems to me that we got over these digital sounds back then. Now that we have them new analog synths again, I assume the younger people who have grown up making music with them feel bored with analog stuff. I'm sure guys who were making music in the early 80s were bored with analog as well, and were surprised when my generation craved vintage analog gear! It is interesting.
