The Kronos maybe (designed for an engineer), but the 5X beats out the Genos, PA-4X and any other arranger when it comes to the UI/UX and overall usability.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the tutorial videos! I just bought a 76 model. I would like to make 2 styles for a song, and play them in sync at the same time. Can such a setup be made as one songbook entry, or do I have to make two and download them to both players?

Can someone please confirm this? Can you edit a style or create one from scratch with functions we’ve had in every previous Pa (delete, quantize, copy, transpose, etc) Can you load your current Pa4x set on the 5x? I’m ok with loading the folders within the “set” separately as long as they work with the 5x. This right here is 100% a deal breaker. All the extra functions features mean absolutely nothing to me if I can’t create a new style with basic functions on the keyboard. I’m pretty sure there are many players that need these functions to work with a pa5x.

That is the right question: what is the point if you cannot create and edit your own styles. I have Roland BK 7M (made in the 90s i think) and it has over 400 styles with various intelligent features for the accompaniment. Also, it can mute song parts and it has 4 variations with 4 intros and 4 endings. However, it was not to designed to create your own styles except for "cover functions" which change the instruments in the style group, and it has "make up" function to paly ,for example a jazz style can be played with a heavy metal set of instruments. Why am I saying all this? Because I want to know how different Korg Pa5X is. I have Korg Kronos X but it is a workstation, not an arranger albeit having Karma technology (kind of sophisticated arpeggios and phrases). But Kronos is very hard to use, and that is why I wanted an arranger to create my own styles on the fly to speed up my composition workflow. In the product description of Pa5x it says that you can create your own styles, but in the performance manual I could not find a single mention of creating styles. May be there is another manual?

The 5X is currently incomplete in some areas (style undo,redo, Kaoss, midi to style), but the answer to both your questions are yes. The incomplete feature-set is said to be fixed with an OS update.

Steve, I have a PA800. I have some styles on there that probably came from the PA80, but I really like them. Can those styles be imported into the new PA5X?

Hey Korg Akai MPC 61 key has enetered the market n raised d bar ....Isn't it time for Korg to upgrade d Pa series to be able to do more professional studio grade work by incorporating a fully functional editable high quality audio recording section instead of mp3? Kronos has 16track audio which can be added to d Pa5x or Pa6x. If u scared adding fully functional audio cost may increase d cost of d workstation ...you can revive one of Korg previous audio workstation (Korg D 8 or 16, D 24 etc) exclusive audio mixer workstation with special sync functionality to be sold separately. Those who prefer could buy separately. That if Korg wants to b on top of this competition.

In the case of Sound Quality and Use-ability of Sampled-instrument,,,,iS THERE? really a very big or far Difference from PA4x or YamahaSX 700 I mean,When a Good sequence on Both of them are equally programmed? It is the first and only arranger keyboard in the world that does not load styles directly from a pendisk....... we have to convert it into a duplicate to be able to put a new style inside the keyboard.. shit Shame Korg

Extremely complicated functionality for a regular musician. Who is going to do all these steps to play a song? That is too much! You need a class for every song the you are playing.
