I read Brian's book in 2007. Really had a big impact on me. I was a 42 year old Sergeant First Class in the Army and recently come back from my second tour in Iraq. I was drinking hard and pissed at the world. His story was touching and it made me realize the real hardcore dudes in this world are the ones that are brave enough to admit they have problems and weaknesses too. Took my teenage son to see KORN last year in Nashville......they were awesome!

@machtnichtsseimann6 жыл бұрын
@@JasonB2025 Yes, there was only one "Jesus Christ", but since it is all too common to have assumptions about who Christ was, and carry our own biases and interpretations into reading about Him, then...that's why you get tens of thousands of denominations and people who debate if He was a Socialist, was never unkind, yada, yada. Brian's ideas about "Jesus"/God were tangled up for years, apparently from the documentary. ( I've observed this in former drug addicts, who turn to God. They sound like the exact same person, with or without drugs, and act as if God is their new "drug". God is not a drug, as much as any human is not a drug. Metaphorically, saying God is the best "high" is ok, but we gotta be very careful to not decieve ourselves into basically taking the relationship out and replacing it now with a new "spiritual" narcotic. True intimacy is what it's about and that's where the deeper and harder work is done. It wasn't about alcohol/meth for Brian, but intimacy, IMHO. )

@@BloodBoughtMinistries Brother, not sure how much you know of Brian, but since he was led by the Spirit back into "Korn" he has started to minister to people after the shows they perform and fans are actually being saved! Compared to where Brian was and is now, I've noticed he is bearing good fruit in his life these days and plus he took over a decade off from a band he grew up in with bandmates that turned into family and always will be to him. He returned with a new light and a passion for Christ and is using the opportunity of traveling all around the world to share the gospel with those in need of a savior. Overall, God only knows this mans heart and intentions for sure, and we as loving brother's and sisters should not sit across our computer screens condemning him. But rather, let us pray for Brian and his daughter to follow Jesus and Jesus alone and for all the right reasons. Love, from Oregon.

If you don't - a hundred times - still make a new plan and do action each time again, it don't matter in the first place if it'll succeed this time or if it will not, it matters that you always try and figure out the best you can for a next - cause if you don't, that'd be : giving up.
