L. Smith Sounded like he just plucked power chords, his hand positions, and did a basic scale. Honestly not that impressive of a solo. I don’t know how this kid was let on stage.

For all you thinking it is a 3 string bass if you watch from about :20 to 40 seconds you can clearly see the 2 black stings and him strumming them.

No his bass actually has 5 strings. But if you look carefully three of them are white and the middle two are black it’s a cool stripe effect but it makes it look like a 3 string.

Thosd black string make it look like he's playing a 3 string bass lol. I had to rewind it and pause it to count the screws on the headstock
