Mental health is no joke... Everyone expecting Korra to be ok now that ALL the poison is out... Sure, she can access all her abilities again but she's not healed mentally. Kuvira knows this... hence why she wasn't opposed to fighting the Avatar. Our poor girl 😭😭 Meelo being an artisanal genius.... Who would've thunk lol. "Show me the inner Meelo".... Not really sure if you want that 🤣🤣🤣

its not just mentally, that mercury poison must have really messed up her insides killing her slowly. She just got it out, and people expect her to be back to normal.
@Torniization3 ай бұрын
@@blahblah-ji9ze That too. Which is also why her physical recovery was so slow and long. Painful too. Poor girl hasn't been given the break she really needs to fully recover...but she's the Avatar... she's not allowed to show that type of weakness. How they portrayed her PTSD is amazing. Raw, unfiltered and sheer painful to watch and to think it's just a glimpse into how people actually feel. While not PTSD, I remember when I had a hip injury that took 10 weeks to overcome. I was so afraid of twisting to the left because if I did that, pain would (what felt like it) shoot up my left leg and cause me to buckle under because of it. My leg would throb and no pain meds would help for at least the next 30 mins. I practically had to plan when I needed to use the restroom because I had to work up the courage to even attempt to stand and walk. A 5 second walk, took me over 10 mins. I was fearful of experiencing pain, for at least the next 3 weeks after the pain was gone.

Yeah, there's the physical, mental, and spiritual sides and Korra needs to heal them all Between Katara's physical therapy and getting the poison out thanks to Toph's guidance, Korra has healed the physical side, but there's still more to go

Honestly, I know that she mostly does directing now, but they could not have picked a better person to voice Kuvira than Zelda Williams, the irony is that if you listen to any interview of Zelda, she's actually really funny despite Kuvira seemingly lacking any sense of humour.

I hate it when people watch this fight without them watching the show and saying Korra is weak. This was the perfect example that you can heal from your physical problems but not the mental ones. Also this was her first big fight in 3 years. And she even fought before and lost all of them due to the poison. Mental health is no joke especially PTST from something terrible

Korra was just not 100% both physically and mentally here. She's not only rusty as hell after years of being out of action, but also getting out the poison doesn't just magically fix everything for her mentally (Dark Korra showing up again was pretty indicative of that). Getting the poison out was only one step in fully recovering. Korra still has several issues she needs to work out. It's like what Toph said a few episodes ago, she can't fix all her issues for her. This fight between her and Kuvira was also more of a mental fight than a physical one when you really think about it. You have Kuvira constantly taunting and throwing low jabs at Korra, and Korra herself trying to not let it get to her as well as trying to get back into her groove. It was going to be a tough fight for Korra overall. Doesn't help that Kuvira obviously knew that this fight was in her favor, because it's no secret that the Avatar was badly hurt and out of action for a couple of years. With all of that in mind, I think it was obvious who was going to win this fight from the start. That and we're only halfway through the season 😅

I feel like ALOT of people misread the end of the episode as well. We already know that kuvira doesn’t just go after discord and rebellions, but she also wants things for VERY SPECIFIC reasons, and she waits for zhu Li to leave BEFORE she says “Begin dismantling the domes” right there, I knew she was a bit wise to the possibility of zhu li not being 100%. But she also shows us the reason she keeps bataar around right here.

Pairing up Bolin with Varrick and Mako with Wu was two of the best decisions of this season. Perfect foils for the brothers. That's a big change from the earlier Korra, going from using the Avatar state as a booster rocket to win a race to only as a last resort.

This is the episode where I was putting myself in Suyin’s and Bataar’s shoes after Kuvira took control of Zaofu. Not only did the person who they saw as a daughter has conquered their city but the fact that one of their own flesh and blood stabbed them in the back by forcing them to surrender to the biggest dictator the world has ever seen is enough to cut ties with him at all. It may sound harsh and biased but it’s like me saying, “You bastard! I gave you life, did everything right for you and you defy me?! YOU ARE NOT MY SON!!!” 😡💔❤🔥

I hope people understand that korra just left the swamp a couple of hours ago, dont expect her to be 100%, after being paralized and never fighting anyone for a long time, im sure her body is still adjusting. Id also have PTSD if i fought 2 blood benders, the dark avatar and some spirits and a group of powerful benders back to back without any rest in a span of less than a year. 😭😭

@@dogmonkey77And she had proven that she was too much of a coward to step up and help rebuild the Earth Kingdom. So she just would have created another power vacuum that allowed Kuvira to come to power in the first place. Prince Wu ain't it. The Earth Kingdom would be shit under him. Su was very short sighted in trying to kill Kuvira. Everything in this season is her fault lol.
@dogmonkey773 ай бұрын
@@SetsunaF916 Rejecting power isn’t being a “ coward “ it’s being smart. The whole point of season 3 before it was to make a point in how awful dictatorships are. Kuvira is nothing more than a dictator. Would you rather Germany be an anarchist state or Hitler lead it? I think that’s an obvious answer. The Earth kingdom functioned quite well as long as they had a reasonable leader. An election should have taken place instead of someone taking power randomly. Kuvira stole Su’s son from her and used him to build a nuke basically. She controlled slave labor camps and killed innocent civilians. Do you think Kuvira deserves to live after that? I personally don’t think any human has the right to take another’s life but in this instance, it would be so much simpler to kill Kuvira

Avatar State's a last resort ladies. You don't whip it out for every challenger. Seldom was it used to take down anything less than massive numbers or tremendous feats. Opponents that bring it out have to reach absurd capabilities. Korra fights well, but not up to potential, she also is getting bounced around half the time because Kuvira is faster and throws off Korra's fighting style. Of course Korra's biggest weakness even at her peak is failing to use the elements effectively as extensions of herself and nature. She's out of water here so that's a huge handicap but Airbending for instance isn't optimal as boxing strikes or tiny blasts. It should enhance Korra's movements and jumps and sweep around in waves and broad currents. Fire should've been used to encircle or heat the air around Kuvira who would've overheated in her uniform and metal armor after some time. Kuvira keeps it tight, grounded and precise with heavy projectiles. Her aim and focus have to be disoriented and overwhelmed with the lighter elements of fire and air.

I think part of the reason Batar Jr is so unlikable is because they never showed him doing anything good. He didn't even have any lines in season 3, even though every other member of suyin's family did. Kuvira only had 2 lines in season 3, and which is still 2 lines more than he had. The only scene we saw him in was following his dad to skip dinner Kuviras appearances help set up that she WAS a decent person, but Batar Jr hasn't been shown to be anything other than a dick
