Yes, it's always better to see these recordings in their original screen ratio, rather than in a stretched out wide-screen format which consequently distorts the images of the judoka themselves.

This is not a World Championship final, it is the final of the 2000 Tournois de Paris. Too bad the ratio of the video got messed up, but great find though!

If Traineau had done to Inoue what Inoue did to Traineau it would have been an Ippon. Such a shame to see such biased decisions in Judo.

Inoue clearly scored an Ippon at 2:25 As in other sports, refereeing is biased towards local athletes

No, he left the sleeve go and had no control over his opponent. Even today, that would ma wazari or no score at all
