Hey everyone! Back in my own Scrap Mechanic Survival world again and this time I decided to go back to a warehouse and loot the rooftop as well as the surrounding area for building materials! How much building materials can you really get with this method? Is it viable for a new player to get up on top of the warehouse and take EVERYTHING? I did the warehouse and ended up making rollers out of the large pipes and a train from the tops of the rusty metal covers, because the wheels would only glitch through the ground and get stuck at the edge of every tile. Also you appear to have forgotten the pallets and crates. cheers

Hey Kosmonaut, if you need to Loot the Warehouses itself, my mod gives you options to do it ;) ( pink painted vpumps can collect all blocks )

Nah, fam, you don't need a bigger truck, you need to add wheels to the remaining loot and treat that as a trailer, carrying it behind your truck. The silos would work well as wheels, connected to the tip of the tower, and you can use the extra seats for seat-suspension. Not as cheap as scrap-seat-suspensions, but you already have the seats. You could build an oiling rig platform, with a tower to look at the surrounding areas from a high height (bad pun intended).

Love the video Kosmo! I think my favorite part of the fant mod is the large cargo container chest it has, the usable woc vending machines are a close second though, too much stuff in scrap mechanic doesn't stack and it really sucks the fun when trying to build stuff in survival.

wow, impressive dedication and effort to climb the warehouse. I agree, the warehouse has a lot of things for building project, I especially want the crane for my harbour dock and train station. I use the rusted metal to make train tracks and some building to give rusted accent to the building and the round thingy for vault door. And I suggest a lot of large chest instead of bigger truck.

Hey Kosmo… with the trailer, it would’ve been smarted to adjust the wheel position on the trailer (moving forward or backwards) to make the trailer sit level on its own, as compared to weighing down the front of the truck to counterbalance

An infinitely easier way to do this would just be to build 3-5 large chests and put all of the non-draggable materials in the chests first. Even if you don't have enough chests, making 2 trips would take way less time than making a trailer. Also, you can temporarily stack all of your rusted metal blocks on the back of your base like kAN and you did in the co-op world. That would clear out the chests for the next time you would want to raid a warehouse.

you can loot the inside, by exploding some parts, and smash it toward the elevator, then you can pick it up

Yes you can loot the inside of a warehouse. It is just a royal pain to loot it. I have taken over 15 large chest of stuff out of a warehouse. First make a bunch of explosives, I found that small ones work best. Second go inside a warehouse and blow stuff loose. Third knock that loose stuff to a elevator, it does not matter which elevator. Last is to use the elevator (you have to be inside it) then you can interact with the stuff that was inside the elevator. Small explosives work best because not only are they cheaper you can also find tune to get the piece you want. You also need a few stacks of blocks to help out. I would highly recommend getting some mesh blocks (no friction blocks) first since it makes large chunks of things easier to hammer out. If you get aim for the cracked stone, keep in mind that you can only use the weld tool on it since you can't pick it up. Any elevator on any floor will work, you just have to be inside the elevator as you change floors. Aim for the mesh blocks first and try to make the chunks as big as possible. There was one time I had a super long chunk that stuck out of the elevator door a good ways. The elevator doors didn't shut, but it still changed floors and the chunk can with it.

I do this on every Warehouse but i made a vehicle that has tons of large chests on it and they hold most of the stuff for transport. Way easier.

When I raided my first roof top i welded everything into one big block slapped wheels a seat and engine on it and drove it home. My base is over water so I used the yellow pillars as supports in the water. The red white radio tower stuff I used as border for my watering system for my farm. And ]the giant quarter circle water tower pieces I used as bases for light towers that rotate to illuminate where the bots spawn to see better at night. The ramps are set up as a wall around the base ramp side facing in so i can drive out but bots cant get in.

well well kosmo. looks like you need a hand. ill soon have bigger trucks in my lot you can rent for what ever you want to trade(ill accept anything. ill make use of it) pro tip, if you want to survive better. try taking over the warehouse and make it your home. that way you basically have your own base. thats what i do in minecraft survival. i take over a mansion and make it my military base. if you need anything. im the next best choice for advice on what to do. jack magnium out

I am disappointed those thrusters were not used. I did this exact thing, and I just cheated it back to my base because my vehicle was WAY too small to tow it. I also cheated to the top of the warehouse without a key by jamming my vehicle into the doors to wedge them open.

I destroy the lowest item so the item over fall, then get them to the elevator by placing the lift, building a fitting cube or racket of concrete blocks and whack them at the loot. And you can mine out walls/floors with explosives. Using xplosives destroy more blocks than you get loose, but you can.
