Hey everyone! A bit of a different video today, just going over the most recent Scrap Mechanic Devblog and taking a look at what the devs have planned for the next chapter of the game! I've got to say...this update looks like it will be AWESOME! It appears we will be getting an awesome underground mining island with an abandoned mining base / abandoned factory, new NPCS, the ability to shape and form terrain underground, new parts such as the electric generator, sticky wheels, and LED signs! oh and..BABY WOCS EEEEEE.

@@fastoutnotforkids7192 Yes but piston powered stuff is different from controller powered stuff, sure you still need a controller, but I was thinking piston powered because it looks cool, though 10 bearings on one controller would probably be more efficient at generating the batteries

I know a lot of people have made janky cranes and conveyors and whatnot, using wheels and cacti, so what if they’re adding a better way to do that?

I'm very excited about that generator. I'm tired of constantly checking on my glow farm and picking up the drops while crafting more cardboard. You can get free batteries by spinning the lever with controllers. It would also be cool too see if you can place a generator on a vehicle and connect a battery container in it directly to the engine so you can charge as you drive without needing to stop and swap an empty container out for the full on and reconnect

I think wedge placement could be addressed by creating a building through which you pick the type of block to build with, that would convert blocks into wedges as you place them like shown in that gif. 1 block per grid unit, regardless of its angle, singular wedge piece still occupies one block space, so that could work. Picking up these wedges would turn them back into normal blocks.
