The public want to know which cultural artefacts have been " stolen"?😮. This will raise another debate as well as the land ownership and confiscation by him from non albanians, like the land for his police/ military in the North which belong to Serb. The taxation and the blockade of Srb products is another matter that has been created by himself .
@b-mixchannel67357 ай бұрын
"the north" is not a seperate state within Kosovo. Its part of Kosovo. So police and military should and will be placed there just like in any other parts of the country. About taxes, do you realize that serbs in those areas have not been paying any taxes and electricity for the past 24 years? Now I understand you feel like you shouldn't pay for electricity because you are used to that for the past 24 years but that's not how a country functions.

@b-mixchannel6735 like North Ireland or some other examples. You have maires which were elected with2% of population 🤔 is this democracy? Now you have so called election with 300 persons who came to vote. ITS OCCUPATION- YOU ARE NOT GIVING THE VOICE TO NORTH KOSOVO CITIZENS- ITS THE GAZA OF EUROPE. YOU ARE CONFISCATING ILLEGALLY SERB LAND . The Good Friday agreement that could been an example for Kosovo has been rejected and kKurti and his party are encouraging revanchism. WHO KILLED AND WAS OLIVER IVANOVIĆ KILLED? WHY SO MANY SERBS ARE IN PRISONS WITHOUT TRIALS!!!!

Interesting when he says that Serbia took all the concetions since 2011 but postponed the recognition 🤔. Lets just mention The Association of Serb Municipalities -Zajednica Srpskih Opština"The proposal for the association came as a result of the 2013 Brussels Agreement negotiated and concluded by the governments of Kosovo and Serbia and he is stopping 12 years of its formation. He has stopped the formation which was number 1while Serbia accepted changes in number plates, car registrations and all the other concetions. He bluntly denies everything from agreements to pursue his policies against Serbian and non Albanian population living in Kosovo and Metohija and particularly in the North. The conversation is more like Albin's propaganda for his goals. These goals are not within European democracy.

@@DjordjeBelic-c3r by the way you try to imply us all the things that actually serbia is doing makes me believe even harder that you are a bot. Serbia is trying to destabilize Bosnia and Kosovo. Did you forgot about the terrorist attack last year led by your government? Dont you understand what Dodik is doing in Bosnia with the help of your regime and russia? Cmmon dude, do more research and stop listening to your dictatorship's propaganda. You most probably also think that Srebrenica never happened and there was no massacres in Kosovo committed by serbia, right?

@DjordjeBelic-c3r7 ай бұрын
@gigja007 This just shows Serbs will never be treated equally in that state. Its not going to be a state of 2 main equal nations. 13 years ago The Association should have been made! Since always something else has come up and been given away( number plates, currency, institutions, police, judges and courts). Now land imprisonments, forced immigrations of Serbs and revanshism all due to fast inclusion into NATO of all the region this is creating destabilisation in the region.Enough to look the neighbouring Macedonia. You are promoting the dominance of Albania over other nations and making sure that the majority ( that you making through different forms to have it even if 2% of population voted and are like installing Albanian maires where there is 2% of Albanians and where elections were illegal). Shizophrenia of the Balkans. Different languages, different faiths, different history but now you want to take the heritage, the art that Serb to make it into Albanian/ Kosovo/ Muslim which was the Saint land of the Serbs this is going to go too far. Albin Kurti is pushing too far. Its about give and take like in the Northern Ireland peace process and the Good Friday agreement

@henrybn14ar2 жыл бұрын
The Kosovo government are not the good guys. It has been trying to confiscate Serbian churches for the past few years. A Swedish bishop was consecrated just after Easter and assigned to Kosovo. Last year, a neighbour went back to Kosovo to get married in their local church. The couple were the only ones who were allowed in for the ceremony. It is not for nothing that non-recognition of Kosovo is the Orthodox countries: Romania, Serbia, Greece. The other side of the story has to be told, but it will not be. A concerted attack on Christianity has been going on since the middle of the eighteenth century. The Protestant churches were easy targets, the Roman Catholic Church fell after 1960, the Patriarch of Constantinople seems to have been nobbled. That leaves Russia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Antioch and a few others standing fast. The Ukraine dispute has an ecclesiastical dimension. Putin's action is to say the least unfortunate but the situation is not as generally presented. But Selwyn College doesn't look good when it gives one side a platform but not the other. I have written to the Master about this. _"Good to see this topic covered, and I dont know enough about this issue to be able to judge the rights and wrongs here but this is obviously one side of the story. Both sides must be heard, as here there are two sides to the Kosovo dispute. Both sides should have an opportunity to put their case. Serbians claim to be the victims of ethnic cleansing from Kosovo, which the Serbians regard as historically theirs. What is not in dispute is that the Serbians suffered for centuries under Ottoman rule, and that the Serbians were rounded up with the Jews and exterminated in the Jasenovac camp. This interview needs a follow up to give the other sides view in order to complete the picture. There are grave dangers in promoting a one-sided understanding of this dispute."_

I don't know enough about this issue to be able to judge the rights and wrongs here but it is obviously one side of the story. It is a basic principle of law that both sides must be heard. There are two sides to the Kosovo dispute. Both sides should have a platform. This interview needs a follow up to complete the picture. One expects balance from a reputable academic institution like Selwyn College.

Are there two sides to the holocaust? Yes. Millions of Germans died and millions of German women were raped BUT, what is the whole both sides when Germany is clearly the aggressor? Civilian deaths should be condemned but to equate Jewish suffering with German suffering for the sake of both sides is absolutely absurd. This is the same case but on a smaller scale with Kosovo and Serbia. 1million Albanians were forcefully deported, 20,000 Albanian women were raped, 13,000+ civilians dead and 2,000 still missing. Hundreds of mosques, and museums destroyed. Over 100,000 houses burned. P.S: Albanians like all the other Balkan countries suffered 500 years of Ottoman Colonialism (and Serb plans to remove all Albanians out of Kosovo didn’t start in 1999, the genocidal plan started in 1912 when over 200,000 Albanians were killed (Trotsky has a good account of the horrendous crimes the Serbs committed against the Albanians). It continued in the 1920s when tens of thousands of Albanians were killed and a hundred thousand others forcefully sent to Turkey. It happened again in the 1950s under Tito where over 200,000 Albanians were forced to Turkey.

I agree with you that both parties should be heard in every conflict in the world but you know that this is not a TV-discussion but a seminar held by Kosovo‘s PM. This seminar threatens in noway or takes away Serbia‘s right of speaking about their side of the story. Maybe somethings regarding the comments you made in regards to Serbs being the victim of ethnic cleansing. Throughout the whole Kosovo War (98-99), Serbia only lost 204 civillian casuallties which happend during the Nato bombings(Kosovo lost 215 civillians), meanwhile on Kosovos side did 8,676 civillians die. In the beginning of the Kosovo war 848,000-863,000 albanian civillians (from a country of 1.8 million citiziens) got displaced which till then was the biggest humanitarian crisis in Europe since WW2. In comparising, at the end of the war got 68,514 serbs displaced(civilians & soldiers/paramilitaries which did warcrimes, so they can not be charged by future courts). So when you compare the numbers, you have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to believe that there happend an ethnic cleansing of serbs. Other things you mentioned are the ottomans and Jasenovac which have what to do with the Kosovo war? I‘m confused. Yes serbs suffered under ottoman rule but albanians did too. In fact serbs during the ottoman times had the right to write, speak and study in in their own language, that is serbian, have their own school and their own church. All rights which albanians did unfortunatly not have. Jasenovac is an unfortunate event in history but I fail to understand how kosovo albanians can be linked or blamed to that. Croatians sent serbs into those camps. Another thing is that Serbia throughout its history did treat albanians always bad and activally worked to reduce albanian population in the region. Which we can see in the explusion of albanians in 1877-78, massacres on albanians & their displacement to turkey during the balkan wars 1912-13(even though they did not patricipate in the war), Serbian planned colonization of Kosovo 1918-41, feasibility studies conducted by the university of belgrade in regards to future expulsions of albanians which were released in 1937, chetnik massacres from 1941-45, limited rights and severe repression of albanians during Milosevics regime 1986-98, and of course followed by the Kosovo war in 1998-99. Even today albanians in Serbia(Preshevo valley) live in harsh conditions because of the passivization of albanian properties by serbian authorities with the intend of making the albanians leave from those areas. When we look at the history of serbs and albanians through the historic lens, we can see a pattern as to who treated who worse and which one was generally the oppresor and which one the oppressed. I also want to mention that Nato bombings ended the kosovo war rather quick which saved most likely future civillian lifes especially when we compare how long wars can last and the massive destruction and dying that happens(Syria 2011-present, Yemen 2014-present, Ukraine 2014-present, etc.)
