Is software, or firmware what is causing my gantry height to not update to factory specs with any of the latest software updates? I don't really know the difference between software and firmware, and I certainly can't tell what is causing my gantry height to stay the way it is when it got messed up after I do any of the latest software updates since a software update was what caused my gantry height to get messed up in the first place. My Z-axis won't home now, and it has been several years since I have been able to use my Kossel Delta Mini. I saw a video on how to reset the motherboard using a reset port and a ground port using low voltage, so I found ground and all of the other open ports names were obstructed by circuitry, so I am still stuck with a Kossel mini that won't work correctly. I am almost ready to buy a new 3D printer and put this Kossel in the garage, and eventually in the trash.

So I'm building the FolgerTech Kossel. In their write up, the endstops are on top and are set to maximum. I try manually bringing the hotend down and it only travels in 1/16 steps. I wonder if i need to switch my pins around to make the endstops minimum. It makes sense a little bit.

+David depuy In the software you can tell it where the endstops are, i think it makes sense for them to me at max?

What if it rises in one direction?

If its just a little bit it's probably not level, adjust the limit switch down on that side a bit to "Level" the bed. No adjustment of the bed itself should be necessary.

when i adjust the limet switches it just changes the print head position away from the center instead of the position of the height. the left and right sides are good but the top and bottom sides are complete opposites. when the print head gets to the outside of the top its 3 mm of the plate. on the other side its digging into the plate. im considering returning it. unless you can help me?

I am building a custom delta 3d printer based off of a Kossel xl. I got the end stops figured out (meaning they are triggered when closed). The problem I am having is when anyone of the X,Y endstops get pressed the printer will not move anymore. Do you have any ideas how to fix this?

Quick question... I see your involved in 3D printing and I was wondering if your able to help me out. I just set up my 3D printer and everything is printing perfectly but the item seems to print taller than the size it should be printing. Thank you

Firstly, thanks for this video, this is very helpful. Do you use 16 teeth pulley or 20 teeth? You adjust as 20 teeth, does it work better after firmware updated as 20 teeth for use of 16 teeth pulley?

If I understand you correctly then: You basically adjust the towers first by adding or subtracting steps (alternatively it can be done by simply adjusting the screws at the end stops) . Next you modify DELTA RADIUS until its leveled all around - Am I right about this?

Nice turotial! Webdevvie I tried the web configurator for 0.91, but the downloaded configuration.h was missing comments and other settings I did not set in the configurator which I didn't like so I downloaded firmware from github and tuned settings manually. What I had to change and is not mentioned is in pins.h: HEATER_2_PIN to -1 (pin 9 is reserved for fan) and EXT0_INVERSE to false to normally extrude. Another big gotcha was Arduino IDE 1.0.5 producing compilation errors so I had to switch back to version 1.0 to get it working. Thanks for your video.
