Kotobukiya Mega Man Zero Review

the z saber handles in concept art slide into the buster and they power it. has two for using two weapons at the same time but he never does this until the recoil rod. the Z on the hand is called the z knuckle. shows up in megaman zero 4 and is used for ripping parts off enemies and using them as weapons.

What I find weird is that X only hands him one Z Saber in Zero 1. And he never has any sabers post-awakening.

X gives him the Z-Saber proper. The second "Saber" comes from the Resistance scientist Cerveau, either as the Triple Rod or Shield Boomerang. The Triple Rod hilt becomes the Chain Rod as the Triple Rod breaks either during the Copy X fight or between Zero 1 and Zero 2. It later becomes one half of the Recoil Rod, with the Z-Saber proper being modified to be the second. The secondary Saber hilt weapons get retired after Zero 3 and that likely becomes the main power source for the Buster Shot's Charge Shots as Zero has the Z-Knuckle chip embedded into his hand.

I actually built this kit last year and I will admit that I had fun building it, you hit all the pros and cons about it. In the game Zero has multiple beam weapons (I forget how many) but the first weapons you get are the gun and saber

the need for extra saber hilts are for the other forms of the Z-Saber, which Kotobukiya didn't include, such as the Triple Rod (a pole arm), the Chain Rod (a beam chain whip (relatively close to Reginlaze Julia's Sword Whips)), the Recoil Rod (a pair of Beam Tonfas), and lastly is the Shield Boomerang (it's just the Z-Saber spinning around to act as a shield then throws it like a boomerang).... for the Z on the hands is the Z-Knuckle where you steal enemy's weapon (I don't use it too often in the MMZ4 since I always go and use the EX Skill all the way lololol)

So, I've always hesitated to buy a Kotobukiya Zero kit, despite being a lifelong Mega Man fan (played all of the classic, nearly all of X, all of Zero and Legend). I guess it's also because I own and have built the Proto Man and Mega Man before, and thought they were a little too expensive for a kit that's basically HG in size, complexity, and uuuuuggggghhhh seamline quantity. They do not age well at all if you do not paint them, as the joints get really loose over time. Watching this review just confirmed everything I dreaded about Zero and is just making me want to pass on it especially because I really would have liked to give it dynamic poses.

I love gundam age forever, but unfortunately the age line kits are mostly doesn't sell much from where I'm from, so I couldn't get any of my favorite age kit anytime soon

The reasons that are most logical are the following: It's his other beam blade weapons. Zero does end up with multiple bladed weapons in the other 3 zero games and those could represent a few of those. It is other blade hilts. I think maybe originally he could've been like. Able to do multiple swords or they intended figures for him and it would've been for something like that. Another one could be for combat situations where he needs to pull one from a certain angle or side to quickly mow down his opponents and the blade only transfers once a hilt has been placed back. I think this reason is the best one because I mean. It does make sense. As for the gun it could be the whole sub- weapon thing or just that the sword acts a type of battery or unlimited ammo source for the gun. The gun isn't like the arm cannons so it's clear the energy doesn't come from his body and it seems the saber has unlimited energy to it so perhaps that's why it's there. I've always seen the saber as a kind of source of energy for the gun and also like something for quick combat convenience. So I really thing there's hilts on each leg that can be activated immediately and the energy goes to the one taken. How this would work is a constant flow of energy between both and then once one is started to be removed the energy pulls to the one hilt nearly instantly igniting the blade. Or maybe they both just have power and it's for convenience sake of combat.

Were you able to replace it or possible 3D a replacement? Same thing happened to a buddy of mines son. Unfortunately, this was the final model he was working on before he recently passed away from a very quick onset of cancer. I'm hoping to find a file or way to replace it for him so they can finish it in his honor.

I played the game way way back but on android and pc using an emulator which is pretty handy when saving yor progress because you can do a save point which is I use as cheat.. will you be looking into getting the truforce version? been dying to get it..almost 11 years after still don't have it..lmao.

the zero series gets better as it goes along, zero1 is hard af (even hardcore fans like myself admit that) 2 takes zero 1 makes both more polished but is still hard af, zero 3 is the best in the series, 4 is great too but some choices in levels and parts system makes it not as good as 3 but top tier ending, zx is takes all the zero makes it awesome just its a metrovania and the map sucks, zx advent streamlines zx at new powerups and is a blast to playthrough except one particular level. i admire you commitment but in all fairness 3 is best and thte best entry point (unles you care about lore)

I think the holsters on both sides is just for symmetry, since Zero uses a 2D sprite set that is mirrored left to right. However, that would mean Kotobukiya should have included a right Z-Saber hand as well. He only has 1 Z-Saber. The one on nis gun is how he does a charge shot while the one on the sides of his legs are from artwork for the saber's holster

I'm waiting/hoping that Bandai makes a Figure-Rise Standard line up for the RockMan franchise. 11:04 That Z on the hand is for his Zero Knuckle weapon from Mega Man Zero 4. The tips of the fingers are supposed to be white like the Zero Knuckle hand. So if you're going to paint this kit, you'd have to do that for all of the hands. 13:46 Considering that (as mentioned) the Z Knuckle is included with this, this isn't based on Mega Man Zero 1 only.
